~Zaruvyen
(Thank you once again, Enaya-TheWhiteWolfen, for an icon I've been using for years.)
Formerly Darius-Kei. These days friends call me "Ruvy", but Zaru still works.
We also own Soran Rustwing (Gryphon) and Ruvako (Avali), and the partial suit Fen the Water Dragon (Thunderhowl Studios)
Most of our time is spent playing Randomizer as a Twitch Affiliate. We have plans to go Variety at year's turn, let's see if that happens!
You can reach out to me via Note, or try to find me on Telegram or Discord.
We're not really here anymore. Things didn't quite go as planned since we first attained independence at the end of 2019, and ever since the first things started going wrong, finding oneself has become an insurmountable task. For the first time in my life, I live a life without a companion at my side for a longer term than I think is healthy. At least I'm never alone as long as I have friends and fans.
Do we believe our best days were behind us? Is there anything left to offer the furry crowd here?

2024: State of the Wyvern
Well, that was a heck of a year, wasn't it? 2023 had it all. It had turmoil, it had emotion, it had war and conflict in all kinds of ways. And for me, this was not at all different. For the last few years, ever since I left home, everything has been a bit of a cluster of good moments followed by bad vibrations, a lot of them a result of the people I chose to be with, or the personal choices that I made moving forward in life. So, too, was the decision to come back up north... on one hand, I'm closer to home and places I used to know, with folks I've known for years, but on the other? I might be more unhappy here than I have ever been. And boy, did it show.
So that's how it's been. A literal emotional catastrophe, no furcons, bright moments overshadowed by that dark cloud overhead, and a feeling of being trapped in this world I've made for myself.
Here's how it's going:
When our team was eliminated from the ALTTP Randomizer League playoffs in mid-December, I made the drastic, but immediate decision to retire from competitive racing of the title in question. It's not a decision I took lightly, and unfortunately, it does come with a lot of collateral, as I took this moment to start to cut ties with a lot of places and faces that now only remind me of how things USED to be, before I succumbed to my vices and destroyed my relationship, my community, and a number of very strong, very important friendships. This marked the first time in three years that I decided I would stream something more regularly other than Link to the Past Rando, and my departure from places that have a lot of emotional weight attached to them for people I once knew and loved. I felt that I'd been disowned, and at times abandoned, thus... it was time to walk away.
We now typically stream Pokémon Crystal's Full Item Randomizer with another crowd of folks, but one friend has stood out above the rest, and they never left. I hope they never do, but I wonder if they know how dangerous this is.
We're following that up with a change in gears to welcoming a little more variety to our stream category. I've revisited Peglin, a roguelike that's still in Early Access, and actually found myself enjoying four hours of it. We have titles to replay, in Axiom Verge, a few generations of Pokémon (Emerald, Platinum are in mind), with perhaps a chance we try IronMon or other-gen randomizers some day. And then you look at our Steam library, and what's been sitting collecting dust? Let's see now... Shovel Knight, Night in the Woods, Ori and the Blind Forest, Hollow Knight, Gunfire Reborn, Octopath Traveler, Monster Hunter Rise... that's a pretty wide variety of THINGS that I've just never touched. So we have plenty to do that's not watch our brain rot as meme culture and being-jaded take away all the fun.
Well, that's the Twitch account's future. What about elsewhere?
We ditched Xwitter, I can tell you that. Find me on BlueSky instead. No, I'm not on Mastodon, and I don't think I plan on trying it.
And then we come to the last item of discussion here, Myself, Zaruvyen, and this account. Don't worry, we're not going anywhere.
Some friends have instead suggested we start reposting a lot of art from our past. I may yet do that, I might pick and choose some pieces (I have exes and content from artists that are no longer in original galleries, so I'd like to not assume permissions) to upload here. Do be advised, there will be watersports content in some of them if we do. If you know me, that's not a surprise at all. If that's not your thing, that's plenty fine! Someday we'll actually get something a little more heartfelt with ones we do hold dear, and maybe some expressive solo bits of our own. We haven't gotten a lot of art of Zaruvyen over the times, and some of what I did get, I feel bad about. Nonetheless, the artists deserve the love and support for what they have offered to more than just me as a commissioner. :>
Things may have been rough, but I just hope the happiness doesn't end with that day in March 2023. I am looking to go forward. As of the New Year, we're giving Dry January a lap, and may go sober save for the occasional drink with friends. No more sipping here at the keyboard on my lonesome. It'd be the first time since High School that I'd be alcohol-free and nicotine-free (read: I'm 33 years of age. That's a long time to be strung-up on something). I am no longer afraid to put my fangs out and let people know how irritated I am. I have a chip on my shoulder in regards to making, keeping friends, and who I consider a 'loved one'. This isn't to say 2023 was a total garbage scow. We did attend Summer Games Done Quick in person, and hope to reprise it, even though I haven't seen a furcon since Furry Migration in 2022. I finally, finally got to see my family and reunite with old friends on my home turf. That was all breathtaking, and I hope to be able to get to do it again sometime. But I let myself become marred by a downward spiral that was absolutely in my control, if I could just pull up on the steering column. We're not going to nosedive anymore. He may be gone, but the lessons are learned.
Our sona roster moving forward:
Zaruvyen (Wyvern, may appear furred)
Rainilu (Avali - Culture and lore of this Starbound custom species the intellectual property of RyuujinZERO as an open species under CC BY-SA licensing)
Soran Rustwing (Gryphon, Red-tailed Hawk+Cougar)
Darius-Kei (Western Dragon)
