at least I'm not the only one who thinks bows are hard to do. This is nice
giving up adventuring. taking an arrow to the knee is a phrase that means getting married
I see you've done your homework on how a bow was originally drawn.
Yes!!!!!!
Awesome job with this one. And such a stylish bow! it kinda looks like the Elven Bow from Skyrim :D
(forgive my nerd side) XP

The posture, the look (a real hunter look), the bow... It's a challenge that you have succeeded brilliantly.
Ooh yaas can't express how happy I am with the outcome! Also nice to hear you took this as a good challenge! Hopefully you didn't pull too many hairs out XD
Thank you once again! :)

Oooh!! What splendid color composition! The painting method used in depicting the background... truly marvelous. And HOLY hell, that bow looks freaking bad-ass. <3 I'm not even into archery but looking at how amazing she turned out, that all might change for the better... X)
Great work, fellow artist.

Beautiful piece but some constructive feedback - arrow is on the wrong side of the bow. Plus you would not want to have your thumb as such, the bow could slip and hit you right in the face. Some archers like to point toward the target with their index finger, but thumb definitely would have a grip around the bow.
the archer alined her shot as she felt over muscle in her arms and shoulders coil. the air was still and dry as her breath was long and slow. she could not ask for a more idea shot as her target moved through the under growth. her heart beating at a steady rhythm with the point of the arrow swimming just out of focus. the shot was now or never. using all her strength in her shoulders to draw back the arrow, she breathed deep then let it out slow. allowing the string to slowly slip from her finger tips until it came free. sending the deadly missile to her target and striking home. tonight, she will pay her respects and have a filling meal, as it the way of a proud huntress and lady of the woods
(sorry, i saw the opportunity to write a story and coolant help my self ^^' )

i love your painting/shading style so much. The foliage and tree bark look so GORGEOUS and lively
A very gorgeous scene ^.^
I just have one little thing... the arrow is on the wrong side of the bow. :)
But other than that I really like it.

Female archers! Something I'd like to see more of, mainly because I like female archers XP
I'd like to try out using a bow and arrow one day tbh. Looks really fun, yet probably a lot more difficult to use than I'd imagine it would be

She reminds me of Dora Systeel, from FEDA: The Emblem of Justice.
