Vilous Web-comic / Web-manga
Episode 4: The Twelve Plainswalkers / 12人ぼっちの平原
Place: Northern lands - Astna Plains
Timeline: TBD
Vilous comic/manga is made in omnibus form, for showing Vilous worldview along the history on Vilous Chronology.
Note: all of our comics are read from right to left, which is typical of manga style literature.
🎉 HOORAY! It's our first time reaching 100 pages in a single comic episode!
Multiple Little Chatters begin to slowly emerge from the cluster of bubbles. They speak in unison with a weak voice, while pointing to a large ominous bubble. It appears that it is the main gate in the Forest Navel.
Little Black-Ears implores the group of Little Chatters to come join them and all together, but one of them replies that sadly they are cannot go with them, and urges them to hurry on without them. With their final ounce of energy exhausted, their bodies collapse and begin to melt away, much to the horror of everyone else.

Hexnose Forest Bubble "Clone" Phenomenon
The bubble gates of the Hexnose Forest were introduced and explained earlier in the episode. Normally they are safe enough to step through. However, when Little Chatter tried to squeeze past bubble gates that were close together, they touched multiple gates at once. Thus, their physical existence was sent to multiple other locations at once, effectively multiplying them.
However, this phenomenon can only multiply the physical form of a being, allowing multiple instances of the same body to step out into the same dimension. However, this effect does not apply to a person's soul. No matter how many times the body is multiplied and iterated within base reality, there is only one, indivisible soul to be shared between them.
Thus, Little Chatter suffers a grueling fate. With only a single soul that is unable to support all of their bodies, once they cross the threshold of the bubbles, their bodies cannot continue to be sustained in reality. And thus, they begin to rapidly collapse and dissolve.

well seems if the soul is not divided then all the access bodies would melt but the one with the original soul still in it would not. unless the physical form is dividing to point can sustain the original vessel or physical being like a cell that divides to much and it dies off.
Yeah it has me a little puzzled as well. I guess I can understand the clones melting away if their form was never solid to begin with, but just because something doesn't have a soul shouldn't make a body melt away. If someone had their soul removed in other fictional stories, often the character would just slump over. Physically alive, but otherwise "nobody home".
But it's Mick and Kiki's world, so I guess it just is what it is.

Well this is quickly becoming more and more grim and unpalatable. Poor lil guy.
Yeah... not gonna hide it. This was rather hard for me to work on. It's hard to witness the death of a child, an innocent, and a furry/sergal. When it's all 3, it is incredibly disturbing and hard for me to deal with.
Okey... that's a very strange thing... but... this Sergal partner is also lost?... There has to be a way to rescue or save him? or come on I do not want to miss another one. :'v
Good Work, keep it up. =D

It's theoretically possible that a single Little Chatter could survive (like a Chatter Prime) that got to keep the soul. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Plot-wise, I think that Little Chatter's role was to be a guide to Ekay, and then sacrifice themself to save the rest from the creature. So I think their role is up. Still. I hope a Chatter survives, but... :(
Me too, friend, me too. ;3
I do not want to believe it but began to think that the whole tribe is going to die and only the Augners will be there to remember them... maybe the youngest survives... maybe the Augners will rescue him and take care of him and teach him someday where he came from. ;~;
But well... hopefully the chatter can survive somehow... I think that already those had enough losses. :'v

Definitely a nice thought. I too really hope Fuzzball survives, as well at least one (or preferably both) of the augdner brothers making it out alive. Preferably MORE survivors, but it is clear now that this is a survival horror story.
I really can't take much more of watching them suffer. (though the story is compellingly written)
I can't blame you. It's pretty rough, and as much as I'd like to say it gets better, even though I help translate the comic into English, I straight-up don't know what happens next. So steel thyself, and I'm sorry for how traumatic this comic is becoming. It's rough on me too.
It compounds our feelings for them because they are just young little fuzzballs.
I can't blame the writers so much though, they really are doing an impressively creative job even if the reality is terribly harsh.

It really is... and there's still that monster on the loose, too. ;n;
Right?! It's kind of funny looking on its own, but in the context of the comic, it's horrifying! :<
So this has gone from "This is a deathworld" to "So We're pretty much in Lovecraft territory now"
Yeah, it's definitely feeling that way. It's straight-up a survival horror story with some really nightmarish elements.
