Some time in life you just had to be in a the right place and the right time and for me living in NYC you get to be part of a City wide test marketing just as it was in Nintendo's 1985 NES test market also happen with Matell's own video gaming test market with the 1979 Intellivision.
The name Intellivision is a portmanteau of "intelligent television". Development of the console began in 1977, the same year as the introduction of its main competitor, the Atari 2600. In 1984 Mattel sold their video game assets to a former Mattel Electronics executive and investors that would become INTV Corporation. Games development started in 1978 and continued until 1990 when the Intellivision was discontinued. From 1980 to 1983 over 3 million Intellivision units were sold.
My story behind it was were I got this system it was a xmas gift from my aunt in 79 and my first Intellivision game I ever purchase on my own in 1983 was Masters of the Universe The Power of He-Man. I have other 80 box games and more to collect.
On launch day the Intellivision sold it only came out with 4 games on eof the 4 was Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack as a packin game but over time between 1979 and 1989, a total of 133 titles were released.
Armor Battle
Backgammon
Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack (included with console)

I have one of these exactly. The games I have for it I think are...some space one. I forget its name. A game called Atlantis? Astrosmash, some bowling game. Donkey Kong, I think a racing game? Also some card game? Man I can't remember really.
