It was a calm night on the snowy island, a reddish-green aurora ripples in the sky while a Pokémon ranger in a parka steps from the warmth of his duty station. In his arms, he carries a bundled up Abra in a pink blanket. She was found drifting aimlessly in the cold ocean waves, luckily a rescue vessel happened by and revived the poor fainted fox. With a bandage across her tummy and a shattered ego, Abra was given a twisted metal spoon to raise her morale. “It's a psychic thing, I guess.” Said the man, cracking open his Pokéball – revealing his Avalugg. The ice-table turns to his master, smiling. “Take this one to Lapras, the usual route.” Saying so, the Ranger lays Abra to Avalugg and sends them off.
The two begin their journey from the outpost, trekking off into the harsh frozen land. This was clearly no environment for the fox, but it was found best to send her off the island before the next major storm hits. Drudging through the snow as Abra keeps herself wrapped up, all to be seen is the white ground beneath the stars. Among the silence of the evening, when all seemed well, a huge Pokémon comes crashing down onto them – lifting them off into the sky. Pinned to the helpless ice-table, the fox finds herself trapped beneath the butt of something while it flaps aggressively. Its voice was something like a Wailord's. Unfortunately, it decides to drop the duo – sending them barreling back down to the land...
Slowly rising up from the snow, Abra clutches her spoon with fear. Avalugg and her blanket are nowhere in sight. All alone, she wondered if this was all added karma for the way she bullied that poor Trubbish. Pondering these thoughts, the ominous cries of that Pokémon draw near. With a rocky cave at her rear, the fox figured it best to take shelter rather than wander aimlessly. As she walks in, something dive-bombs into the entrance – sending Abra down a long slope to a huge dank cavern. Entering the cave as if it's an arena, an enraged Lugia appears. It wasn't clear why this legendary was so angry, but the fox knew she had to act. Holding her spoon like a little wand, her body surges with psychic energy.
Spreading his wings, Lugia's fat blue belly grumbles as it puffs up with air. Exhaling with a booming roar, he shoots an icy beam across the cave. Jumping away from the powerful attack, Abra hides behind a stalagmite. Tromping over, the legendary swipes his wing through the pointy rock, snapping it from the ground as the fox back-flips away. Ready to launch another laser beam, Abra raises her spoon and focuses on the tonsils in his big gaping mouth. Concentrating all her psychic energy in one place, the attack halts in Lugia's throat and builds up into a giant snow ball. With a shocked expression, his eyes dilate as he gulps it back down – bloating his stomach into an even more prominent potbelly.
As if things weren't bad enough for the legendary, the excess energy from his failed ice beam wasn't exhausted like it's supposed to be, so now it's slowly inflating him like a cold-air balloon. Pressing his wings all over his creaking girth, his perpetually swelling body only makes it more awkward to move, so he just stands there trying to contain growth – begging the fox to make it stop. Since Lugia now looks like he's pregnant with a Snorlax, especially with a comically sprouted belly button, Abra gains the confidence to jump at him and kick off from his buoyant stomach like a trampoline. Sending this legendary blimp to his back, the cold air within keeps him bouncing elegantly across the ground.
As oddly pleasant as it is to see Lugia float around like a pool toy, he moans harder and harder while he grows. His fleshes audible twangs echo louder with each passing moment, eventually his feet meet one side of the cave as his head meets the other. From a comedy to a horror scene, his limbs stiffen up and begin retracting back into his now-perfectly round body. With a shrill voice which has become heavily muffled, and a threat that was no longer present, the pressure within becomes too great for the mighty Lugia to handle – and he bursts into a freezing wind. Happily unplanned, Abra gets launched far out of the cave and conveniently lands near Avalugg. Best of all, he has her pink blanket as well. THE END
