Commission for womblesfan who wanted a story featuring Tom Nook and Digby with an eating contest between the two of them. Completely harmless fun, with a mishap here and there. It was really fun to write. And It's my last story of 2019 too! I wonder what stories I will get to write in 2020. Only time will tell!
Warning: Story contains Soft vore, Endo, and Weight gain.
Tom Nook, Digby, Isabelle, all characters belong to Nintendo. Enjoy!
Wager with Nook
The town of Akatsuki was peaceful in it's early days, back when it was more of a small village than anything big. The wildlife was undisturbed, and the houses that were set up in the area did very little to take away from the natural beauty of the place, then again there were only about 5 villagers at the time that had settled into the countryside for a peaceful life, and they were supposed to have a 6th moving in on this day.
Tom was busy setting up shop on the other side of the railroad track, in main street. Every villager that was setting house in Akatsuki needed to run by him as he provided the roofs over their heads, though he was also juggling with the Nook shop that he'd opened up just to the side of this building, he always had something new to do and new customers to satisfy. He didn't mind staying busy though, it let him line up his pockets with more bells and the more he knew his clients the happier he felt.
Today was a big day for him. For the town actually, as a new arrival was coming in. Two actually...Roommates as it were. Digby and Isabelle. Fraternal Canine twins. That was something you don't see everyday! Of course...what Tom most looked forward too wasn't simply the addition of new villagers. It was what always inevitably came with those arrivals, and with his work piling up at the general goods store, it would do some good for him to have an extra set of hands to work with.
As Tom looked over their files he noticed something about the one named Isabelle. The information on file mentioned that she was going to be the new assistant to Mayor Tortimer. He'd talked to the old turtle a few times the past few days and knew that the old Turtle was getting up there in his old age and would be retiring soon. When the Tanuki heard that, he was concerned, as he couldn't possibly handle the responsibilities of being Mayor over Akatsuki, and deal with the Nook shop and Nook's homes...So he'd suggested that Tortimer find someone who had the organizational skills to keep the boat from sinking until they had an official mayor to take his place.
“Isabelle...I guess Tortimer knows what he's doing so I won't fret over it!” Tom set the papers down into the drawer beneath his desk and climbed out of his chair, his chubby belly wobbling as he got up from where he'd been sitting. “Now now, time to greet the new villagers!”
Nook Houses was one of the fews stores on Main Street that were open for business, aside from the Post Office as well as his general goods store, it was still pretty deserted. That all would change in the coming months though, if Tom's planning went as well as he intended it to go. He could hear the sound of a train coming through as he walked along Main Street. The path into the village was cut off until the Train would pass, which of course he knew was carrying their new arrivals.
“They're here. Good good! Time to greet!” Tom whistled cheerfully, his wide belly bouncing with each step when the tracks opened up to allow him safe passage.
It'd been a long ride, and the whole while, the twins were speaking to an odd purple cat who was just a little too curious of their destination. While Isabelle didn't have a problem with the cat's enthusiasm and curiosity of it's fellow passengers, Digby was a little more nervous. Not because he believed the feline might be dangerous, but because of what was about to follow when the train stopped. Akatsuki was a largely unknown village, one of Tom Nook's more recent ventures, and one thing animals far and wide knew of Tom Nook...it's that when he's involved, you'd best be prepared to fork over a nice wad of bells.
“It'll be alright.” Isabelle turned to her brother and gave him a cheerful smile, sensing his anxiety and giving him a reassuring shoulder rub. “I'm sure you'll find work once we're settled into our new house. I already called Nook's Houses before we left and they promised it would be ready when we got there.”
“Yeah I know...” Digby smiled back to his sister, and took note of the town sign that zipepd past them, indicating that Akatsuki was their next stop, and their destination. “I'm more worried about Mr.Nook than anything. You're settled in because the Mayor hired you to be his replacement until they can find a new Mayor. But I'll be the one Tom REALLY sets his sights on.”
“Oh you're just being silly. Why would he set his eyes on you?” Isabelle laughed him off, even as the train started slowing down to a crawl then stopping in Akatsuki station. There wasn't much of a welcome party. The station was empty and devoid of other villagers on the station, which was a plus for them. No crowds off the train made their departure of the locomotive that much easier, even more so since the two of them only had a backpack strapped to their backs as their only personal belongings they brought with them to their new home.
Digby wasn't really sure of Isabelle's enthusiasm. Sure Tom wasn't a bad person but he had a habit of only seeing the bells. Setting that thought aside, Digby walked with his sister out of the station. The first thing the two of them see after exiting the threshold of the station entrance, is a big wide mocha cream colored belly wobbling in their direction! Staring up above that large dome of a belly was the smiling face of a Tanuki that all animal villagers knew of.
“Ho ho! Welcome to Akatsuki yes yes! Let's see if I have this right...Are you...Digby and Isabelle?” Tom asked the two canines with an ever so cheerful smile on his face.
“Yes that's us!”Isabelle responded with equal cheer, face beaming brightly with a smile. “You are Mr. Tom Nook right?”
The tanuki was taken aback by the positive demeanor of the Shih-tzu. He laughed, big belly bouncing from the motion. “Good good! I have been expecting you. Tortimer is waiting in the town hall for you miss Isabelle.
“Oh! I guess I should be going now then!” Isabelle smiled, walking past Tom's wide belly but she stopped a few steps forward. “Which...way is the Town Hall, Mr. Nook?”
“Oh ho ho! Call me Tom!” The Tanuki took a small town map out of his pockets, handing it over to the female Shih-tzu. “The town hall can be found right here on the map. Just follow it and you'll never get lost! I've even marked where your home will be!”
Isabelle looked intently over the map, studying everything she could of their new home before her bright smile returned. “Got it! You two have fun!” With that she started whistling the town's tune she heard upon entering the train station.
Digby watched his sister dwindling away as she left him and Tom alone. He was broken out of his thoughts when Tom gave him a gentle pat along the back. “urk! Y-yes Mr. Nook?”
Tom's eyes narrowed for just a second, before his eyes brightened up again. “You can just call me Tom too! Come come! You want to see your new home yes?”
This was it...Digby knew this was where his debt was going to start racking up and followed the Tanuki. It was a small tent, just barely enuogh for two people to lay in comfortably, with a small wooden box and a lantern sitting atop of it for decoration. “This...is it?”
The Tanuki giggled, giving his belly a small pat in his affirmation. “Yes yes! Well you see...you set a down payment on this plot of land but you've yet to actually make any sort of payment on a house. Your permenant home SHOULD be ready by tomorrow morning, so do please try to bear with it for one night. I promise by the next morning, you won't even notice!”
“But...” Digby trailed off, realizing the most important question hadn't even been asked. “Wait how much is this new HOME going to cost me?”
“The price to pay off this tent will be 10,000 bells. But Tortimer has graciously paid off the tent to make village living easier for his new assistant...so you just have to cover the cost of the home. And after a bit of number crunching...that'll be 39,800 bells.” When the color had drained from Digby's face, Tom laughed heartily, patting his belly. “oh no no! Don't worry I don't expect you to pay it off all at once! You can work off your debt by working in my shop.”
“Th-Thirty nine...” Digby didn't know what to think...That was an insanely large amount of bells to pay off. But the mention of not having to pay it off all at once definitely was music to his ears. “Well, I guess if it's only until the house is paid off, then I could do some work around your shop.”
This was music to Tom's ears. “Excellent! I will meet you at my shop! You can find it across the railroad tracks, just go straight and you won't miss it!”
The Tanuki turned a 180, ready to walk away from the conversation. Looking over Tom's wide body, an idea came through to Digby, and it was a strange one...He watched the Tanuki's wide hips and he wondered if the idea was really worth the risks.
“A-actually!” Digby reached a paw out, but didn't exactly touch Tom, who turned his head to meet the dog's face. “I...What if I made a bet...with you?”
Intriguing. What was this Shih-zhu thinking in that cute head of his. Tom wanted to find out, and turned around completely. “You have my attention. What did you have in mind?”
“Well...I was thinking...An eating competition. If I win...then my debt is paid in full. And...if I lose...then...I'll work for you, no questions asked.” Digby offered, idly tapping his fingers.
“oh ho ho! An eating contest?” Tom asked, looking down over his rounded belly, and smiled. He always had a healthy appetite...and judging by Digby's smaller frame, the Tanuki had the clear advantage. “That's a very risky gamble my friend but let's do it. Yes yes! We'll do so tomorrow, when your house has been properly delivered. For now, do enjoy your stay in Akatsuki!”
The delightful tone of the Tanuki was a bit unnerving. Nothing seemed to take the good mood out of the big Raccoon, and Digby just watched as the big guy waddled on off, singing the town's tune towards the train tracks.
When Isabelle was done with her initiation later that night, she returned home to the tent and got the full story from her brother about the gamble he'd made with Tom Nook. Her first reaction was to reassure her brother by rubbing his shoulders to help relieve the tension he was feeling. “I guess my first job as Interim Mayor will be hosting your little bet...I wish you told me about it before you made the deal.”
“W-Well it just came to me. I thought we could adjust a bit easier if we settled the debt all in one go.” Digby shot, hanging his head down as he wondered how he'd possibly beat Nook in tomorrow's eating contest, but eventually with his sisters assistance, he managed to drift off to sleep.
On the day of the contest, Isabelle had approached many of the villagers bright and early, asking for them to provide food that both contestants could gorge on when the time came. She'd given them the time frame of a few hours which, while it wasn't ideal, and some would have thought the notion rude on such short notice...The villagers were actually excited. They hardly had any kind of excitement happen in Akatsuki so a little action did well to stir up their interest.
Digby was anything but excited though. He climbed out of his bed to get ready for the day ahead of him. He didn't know how but somehow, whenever Tom brought in a house or expanded a house, it was almost instantaneous. Digby didn't even realize he'd been moved out of his sleeping bag and into a comfortable bed in the middle of the night. “How does he always do that...” Digby muttered quietly to himself.
The first person he met when stepping out of his house was Pete the Pelican, the bird's bill nearly poking an eye out. “Hello! My name is Pete the mail delivery bird! You're new to Akatsuki so I decided to come out in person to tell you that I'll be the one delivering your mail if anything important comes along. Speaking of...” Pete took out a small pink envelope, handing it over to the canine. “I have to finish making my rounds before the eating contest starts!”
For a moment the color drained from Digby's face. It was going to be a public spectacle of him making a fool of himself. With Tom's large girth he was a shoe in. He set the letter into his pocket and started making his way to City hall...Wondering what kind of uniform he'd be wearing when he starts working for Nook's shop.
Making his way to City Hall, he'd find that the building was decorated with a few banners with the words “THE BIG EAT OFF!” in bold letters over the door. A few tables were pressed up together, platters of food were prepared and set down. On the left most side of the set of tables were fruit baskets of Apples, Oranges, Pears and even Bananas. It made for a colorful assortment of foods that was appealing to the eyes. To the far right on the other hand were grilled fish, of varying species but all were edible. There were a few decorated salads, cakes, cookies at the center of the table with food still being piled on. Some stripes of bacon and eggs were being piled onto plates and set onto the table by Isabelle.
“D-Do we really need all of this food?” Digby asked, smelling the grease of the bacon sizzling on the grill and knew she wasn't finished cooking.
“Don't be silly. We need as much food as we can get! You and Tom are going to stuff yourselves silly!” Isabelle giggled her response, turning the bacon for a more evenly distrubuted cooking.
“Indeed indeed!” Tom walked towards the town hall, belly bouncing with his stride. “We will feast and eat up all this good food! Win or lose, a free meal is still appreciated! Oh ho ho ho!” The Tanuki's belly wobbled in his laughter.
The big Tanuki walked on over to the table that the food was spread on, and sat his rear down in one of the chairs that were laid out for him and his competition. “Come come! Sit and get ready to feast.”
Tom's charm was hard to ignore. It was probably why the Tanuki managed to hold a monopoly over the real estate buisiness as well as own his own line of shops across different towns with such ease. The Shih-tzu hesitantly walked towards Tom, gazing at his wide stomach and had a bad feeling about how this was going to go before he sat down in his own chair.
“Who do you think's going to win?”
“It's gotta be Tom no question!”
“Tom's got this! Nobody has beaten the Tanuki in an eating contest before!”
The voices of the villagers who piled out here to watch the event left Digby even more nervous. Everyone seemed to be favoring Tom as the one to win. A few stacks of pancakes were set down between himself and Tom with a smiling Isabelle nuzzling her brother's side. “Don't worry about what they are saying. Just focus on eating.”
Tortimer, the town's Mayor walked out of the office to approach the two. His stride wasn't quite as quick as the others due to his old age, but he did finally get there. “This is a good retirement party! I'm leaving Isabelle in charge until the new Mayor is ready to be transferred in, but for today let's just have a good time here. An eating contest to settle a debt is a bit unorthodox I'll admit...but we don't get a lot of excitement in this town so let's cheer on both of these fellas and may the best man win! Are you ready...”
Tom licked his lips, leaning forward a bit in anticipation.
“Get set...”
Digby was sweating bullets already. There was no going back now...He had his hands out and ready to snatch his first bowl...
“Go!!” The old turtle pulled out a small popper from his shell and let out a small spring of confetti to start off the eat off.
Tom was quick to snatch up some of the fruits, not even so much chomping on them but swallowing them WHOLE so he could get them out of the way, starting with apples. It mesmerized the villagers, watching the rounded fruits disappearing down the Tanuki's gullet...Even Digby was caught watching the round bulges sliding down Tom's throat, to the point where he'd given Tom a minutes head start.
“Don't get distracted bro! Get to eating!”
Digby's trance was broken when his sister's shouting rang in his ears, and he grabbed a few pancakes and started nibbling on them. His rate of consumption wasn't as swift as Tom's. He used his knife to cut the pancakes into smaller portions before nibbling on them. It made for a pretty dull eating contest.
“Comeon Bro! Just eat. Eat and focus only on eating as much as you can!” Isabelle encourages, paws clenched in her excitement and she started pumping them up and down. She was getting way too invested in this, some of the villagers even laughing at the display.
Digby was embaressed by his sisters outburst. Still...She only did it because she didn't want him to give up. They were always there for each other and right now he was kind of losing this wager...He had to pick it up. Suddenly, Digby was stabbing his fork into the center of the pancakes and forcefully working the whole load of it into his jaws, chomping and swallowing with a fierce speed that surprised everyone.
Tom already polished off three baskets of fruits, and was approaching the fresh eggs that were set down on the table. The crowd was on his side and he wasn't going to let them down, when he shoved his first mouthfuls of eggs into his muzzle, he'd heard the cheering dying down for him and it confused him. He turned his head over to his competitor's side and his own eating slowed. “Woah...”
The sight was that of the Shih-tzu practically shoving much of the food on his side of the table without so much as chewing. He was shoving pancakes in by the stack, chomping over them a few times like he were a machine before swallowing them down and lifting up a plate of bacon, just letting the pork glide off the plate and into his waiting maw. He was a machine that was quickly catching up to Tom and even reaching past the Tanuki's frame to grab a plate of Trout and started digging into the fish, each one vanishing within a few seconds of meeting his lips.
The support of the crowd was taken just as quickly as the food vanishing down Digby's gullet. It was such a turnaround with cheers like- “Look at him go!” “Where's he putting it all?!” “You can do it Digby!”
Things were now getting interesting, Tom could see the pounds really being packed on the Canine's belly, with each morsel that vanished past Digby's gullet, his belly would expand to compensate for the lack of room in there. What should have been an easy win was now becoming quite the challenge. Tom wasn't about to just let Digby out eat him though...! He had a reputation to uphold and nobody had out eaten him before! Grabbing a handful of apples, Tom started chomping away, his table manners leaving much to be desired at this point as he was more focused on taking home the win. Once the apples were polished off, the villagers really started piling on the tasty desserts. With Apple and Blueberry Pie's being set down on the tables to fill out the empty void being caused by their over eating.
Surely enough, soon as the pie's were set down, Digby reached out and grabbed one of the Blueberry pie's and started going to town on it, taking large chunks out of the side with a bit of the blueberries sticking to the corners of his muzzle. He took many large bites from the pastry before grabbing a hold of another and giving it much the same treatment.
The Canine's shirt was starting to come apart...The fabric tearing as his gut expanded and pressed against the table, nearly knocking the table onto it's side, but it was some pretty sturdy stuff. Needless to say it left an Intimidating presence on Tom's conciousness. Here his opponent was right there, polishing off pastry after pastry, chomping away on them as his gut rivaled that of the Tanuki's own girth.
After a few more pastries were down the canine's gullet and in his engorged stomach...He stopped to take a break, panting and looking over the remaining quantities of food left in front of him. For Tom, this was a moment of reprieve, and while he was worried he might lose this match, he was still a kind Tanuki and decided to climb off his chair and approach Digby, a smile on his face. “Look at you! I didn't know you had it in you my friend! Yes yes! You're so big now you could probably even eat me!”
As cheerful as Tom had worded it, it may not have been the best idea. Suddenly, Digby in his Food crazed state grabbed Tom by the shoulders. At first, Tom thought this might have been just Digby trying to thank him for the compliment, but then he saw those lips coming apart and approaching him. He stared into Digby's mouth as it came down on him before they engulfed his head!
Everyone watched in astonishment! Not quite fear but...astonishment...They were amazed that Digby was actually even trying to do this. His jaws stretched out along Tom's large frame, much larger after the food that they'd both consumed and was eagerly swallowing the Tanuki down like he was a large meaty snack!
For Tom this was a most unexpected turn of events...! He hadn't really been struggling. Mostly because he didn't THINK someone could actually do something like this. His body was being so easily pulled in by the Shih-tzu's body in his food drunk state that Tom's size was no barrier for the canine...and Tom just slid down within his adversary's gullet like the rest of the food that followed before him.
It took maybe a minute, for Digby to work his way around Tom's engorged stomach, that large mocha cream colored belly sinking into his jaws and with effort...swallowed down like one big marshmellow! With that done the rest of Tom was easy to work down, the Tanuki's body sliding seamlessly down into the Canine's stomach which expanded to nearly double it's already engorged size now with Tom resting within in.
It was a few moments longer, until Digby snapped out of whatever zone he was in to look at the result of his single minded focus...The table had been fully knocked over! What food remained was now sprawled on the ground with his belly looking to him almost as big as the bedroom he'd woken up in that morning! And to top it off, there was the villagers, all crowded around him with their ears pressed up to his stomach, listening for the Tanuki. “Uhm...what's...”
“Shhhh.”
Isabelle was the one that shushed him. Digby's face went red with embaressment until he realized that Tom was nowhere to be seen, but his belly was definitely a lot bigger than it was when he'd woken up this morning...and he could have sworn it was even moving...Everything was silent until he heard muffled words coming from inside of him.
“Well...” Tom's voice was calm within the Canine's belly, arms crossed and his eyes narrowed somewhat. He felt indignant...he'd been out eaten by his adversary and there was no getting around that. Not only did he eat enough to match Tom's size...but he'd even eaten the Tanuki himself, and with that much quanity of food packed away he had to accept his loss. “A deal's a deal. You out ate me Digby...Your debt is cleared. So long as you don't digest me.”
“O-Oh...!” Digby finally understood what happened. Everything had been blank when he decided to focus all of his attention on eating. “D-Don't worry Mr.Nook! I won't digest you, you're safe.” Digby smiled, leaning forward and starting to rub gently across his belly. Suddenly...he felt a bit of pressure in the pit of his stomach and let out a loud rumbling belch that shook the area around him. It was so unexpected...the slight tremor of his belch leaving him blushing. The townsfolk just laughed, offering him compliments on his eating and his appetite.
A few years later...Digby was sporting a flashy red suit, working for the Happy Home Association. It wasn't a glamorous job, but he was able to meet everyone who crossed into the plaza. Tom was one of the many passersby he would encounter on a day to day basis, one day, Digby decided to wave over the Tanuki, trying his best to be friendly to him. “OH hello there Mr.Nook! It's always nice to see you!”
The attention from Digby was certainly not one that he expected. But Tom wasn't someone who was rude to his customers, or fellow businessmen. When he got a look at Digby he realized the canine had dropped a lot of weight since the contest. He fit into his suit quite well without much of a bulge. “Hello hello Mr.Digby! Your business is thriving I see!”
“Yes sir.” Digby smiled, nodding a few times and smiling cheerfully. “I see that you are doing just as well too. Your Nephews recently took over your retail store. That must open you up for more free time.”
“Oh ho ho ho! I wish I wish! I am still busy with Nook Homes. I must get back to it though. If you'll excuse me.” Tom gave a short bow, and began making his way across the square. Upon a closer inspection, the Tanuki let a small shiver crawl along his body, something that Digby did not skip a beat in noticing.
“I wonder...” Digby trailed off...He'd have to talk to Tom later on in the day, something was definitely eating at the Tanuki's mind right now.
As the sun was beginning to set, Digby decided to leave his post for the day. He had someone coming to take his place for the night any how so now was as good a time as any. With his shift now finished, the Shih-tzu approached Nook housing, only to bump right into a furred round dome of a belly as Tom was just heading out for his own night off.
“Oh ho ho! Sorry about that Digby! I didn't see you there.” Tom laughed in his usual Jovial manner, side stepping the young Canine with a smile on his face.
“It's...fine...” Digby blushed, having actually enjoyed the feel of that soft belly on his face. “I actually came to talk to you sir. It's...about us...”
That got Tom to stop. He turned around to look at Digby with a casual tilt of the head as most Animal Villagers did when they were inquisitive.
“Well sir...” Digby put his hands together nervously, staring at Tom's wide body and chuckled some, wondering why he was able to lose the weight but Tom always managed to keep that wonderfully round, chubby form factor that just made him a welcoming animal to approach. “I think...what happened all those years ago might have been a good thing for you.”
That caught Tom by surprise, so much so, the classic exclamation point popped up briefly over his head. “It was good for me? How so?”
“Well sir...Up until then you were always the one in control of the transaction...not the customer...I'm sure it must have been very unusual and disturbing to have had that control taken away...but you seem much more lenient now on your customers.” Digby stopped pressing his hands together as he grew a bit more confident. “You even have a bit more pep in your step because you think more about your customers than you did before that incident.”
Tom didn't know where Digby was going with this, until the canine walked over and suddenly stared down at the Tanuki's rounded belly. “I think...maybe if you ate me...and held me in your belly then maybe...you might feel better. We could call this even.”
“Woah!” The exclamation point appeared over Tom's head again...this time with genuine surprise as Digby offered to let him eat him. “You want me to eat you? Are you sure about that?”
“Well I actually just clocked off for the day. What little work I still had for the day is already done. Besides...I think it's only fair that you get to eat me.”
The concept intrigued Tom. His belly was growling too so he was definitely hungry and in need of something to fill his stomach. “Well...I think you could use a break anyway...You've been working so hard here at the shop that you lost all that wonderful weight you'd been carrying.” Tom's hands suddenly grabbed ahold of Digby's shoulders, with a big smile on his brown furred muzzle.
“A-alright. Then I'll take this as my vacation day then sir!” Digby's face beamed, even blushed a little bit as he was held by the big Tanuki. Somewhere deep down...he may have actually wanted this to happen.
“Well in that case, down ya go Digby!” Tom's lips opened, giving Digby an unobstructed view of Tom's mouth, that pink fleshy tongue and the pulsing gullet that would lead into the Tanuki's depths.
He didn't have very long to rethink his proposition, as Tom was quick to stuff the Shih-tzu's head on into his mouth, tongue tasting and lapping at Digby's head and matting him in sticky drool before a hard swallow would begin tugging Digby's head past the back of Tom's mouth and start guiding him into that tight, gullet.
This would prove to be a much easier meal for Tom to enjoy since Digby was much smaller than he'd been a couple years back. The Canine didn't digest Tom back then, but the rest of that food certainly didn't go to waste...This must have been on Digby's mind for a long time, it was the only explanation Tom could think of as to why the dog would have lost all that weight so suddenly. These thoughts however were put into the back burner as Tom savored and tasted Digby's unique flavor. Sure the clothes got in the way, but in some way they also added to the snack he was working down. He would swallow and push gently around Digby's arms, working more of his meal in and feeling his throat expand and bulge out with his meal's form.
Tom closed his eyes in his delight. A willing treat, and a safe one...with many wonderful flavors packed into his fur. Even as Digby was more than halfway pulled in within Tom's body, he didn't struggle. It was a feeling of Deja-vu for the Tanuki. When he'd been eaten he didn't struggle either. Then again...he was just startled that anyone could actually attempt to eat him so it didn't register in his head until he'd landed in Digby's stomach. Maybe the same was happening here? Tom didn't know but right now he didn't care, he was just hungry. With another hard swallow, he was tugging in Digby's stomach and leaving nothing but his legs and poofy tail sticking out of his mouth, waiting too to be taken.
It hadn't so much been that Digby was in shock, so much that he was entirely willing. He'd eaten Tom years back, and he promised he wouldn't digest the Tanuki back then and kept his word so he was sure that Tom wouldn't let him down either. The warmth that surrounded him helped too. Normally if someone was to eat you, your first instinct would probably be one of fear, and a desire to escape for your life but Tom's body was soothing. Warm and inviting just like the Tanuki's personality often was. There wasn't much to be afraid of from this one, except perhaps maybe the bills you'll rack up with his services...
It didn't matter though. After you got past the debt, you could see Tom for what he really was and that was something Digby was able to more readily accomplish thanks to their gamble and he was happy for that. Suddenly, he felt a strong pull as the last remnants of his body was pulled down into the Tanuki's gullet that took him out of his thoughts. Suddenly he was being pulled down, and spilling out into the Tanuki's spacious, warm belly.
There wasn't a single drop of acid within the warm chamber. A sign of safety that Tom was going to keep his word. No gurgles...but the warm beat of the Tanuki's heart was repeatedly beating in his ears. Digby would have to get used to that for now.
“Urrrap!” Tom belched out Digby's shirt, which landed on the floor beside him with a soft splat. “Heh...sorry about that. Don't worry I'll get it all cleaned up before ya know it! Your suit will be nice and clean tomorrow morning.”
If Digby were a suspicious canine...he'd have thought that Tom did that deliberately to offer Digby the same form of indignation that Tom felt those years ago. But as warm as Tom's insides were...and the gentleness of the stomach's warm fleshy walls, he couldn't imagine that Tom had intentionally left him shirtless. “A-Alright then. So when will you let me out?”
“Hmmm when to let you out...that's the question...” Tom looked down over his belly, playfully pressing down on Digby's bulge, massaging both his belly and the canine into relaxing. “I'll let you out first thing tomorrow morning. It's a promise.”
“A slumber party in your belly. Alright I guess I'll get comfy.” Digby stretched his limbs out to the best of his ability.
The Tanuki stared down at his belly, watching the bulge within him stretching out. He would casually reach out with a paw and push the bulge back in with a playful smirk. “Go ahead and get cozy. You're safe in there I promise.”
With a soft chuckle, Tom began walking down the plaza, belly bouncing and shaking with each step as he made his way back to his own private home to rest off a long day of work. Digby inside of him, already relaxing thanks to the steady beating of the Tanuki's heart around him, and the rhythmic bouncing of the stomach around him, as if he were being rocked to sleep, helped to put the Canine at ease. Before Tom would even REACH his home, Digby would be fast asleep, having grown easily accustomed to the warmth and trusting that the next morning he would wake up for another day's work, and a clean slate with the Tanuki. No more debt...and no more awkwardness between the two. Now they could at the very least be friends.
