So first of all I love how the brown makes it look like there is dust on our cars. Second, due to how heavy the next chapters will be with me, Meika, and all the rest, I wanted to only focus on those from the RPG for this one. Also fuck the person who says their word is law and saying their shit is canon when it’s not.

The day came for the event. Those from the RGP were in their arena, while those from Aispir where in theirs. All the cars were in position. Soon there were only a few minutes left to go. Everyone was making their final preparations before the match got underway. Dira and Alfred were reporting on this. Since this event was the full vehicle contact kind, for safety concerns each racer had been outfitted with a special system on the underside of their vehicle. These produced a shield and activated on impact, minimizing the damage and protecting the racers from harm. Right before the event began, Miles told Tag he had a bad feeling about this. The tiger reassured the owl he would make sure nobody got hurt this time. Sonny was also like Miles due to having Krom on his team. The bear certainly remembered how it was the crocodile that had put him in that coma last season. It then became one minute to go and the small ramps the cars were on were tiled down. It then began and the cars were off. On the Aispir arena, things began to be shaken up. Nobody on those teams were gonna let the other win. It was the same for those from the RGP. “UGH!” Nicholas grunted as his car got hit by one on the other team. “I sure hope Meika and the others are having more fun than this!”
It was hard to say because after a bit of time, Tag had the digital ball. Sonny had pulled up and told the tiger he was open, but then the bear had to swerve out of the way to avoid Meelo who came barreling in. “What?” Tag asked to his mechanic. “Say that again; I can barely hear you Miles!”
“It’s on your left, Tag!” the owl replied impatiently.
“What?!”
“Left! On your left!”
“Left! Right!”
“No, not you right!” Miles exclaimed. “Your left! Your… other right!”
“I know where left is!” Tag told him.
The owl let out a sigh of frustration. “I told you we should’ve stuck with ‘affirmative’, and ‘negative.’”
“Miles,” Tag stated. “This really isn’t the best time for ‘I told you so’; help me out here!”
“Right! I mean… affirmative!”
Tag was given directions and made his way to the goal. Vyxx began to trail him, but she was knocked out of the way by Axel. Miles told Tag to be careful as they still didn’t know what the enemy was up to. Then Meika was spotted up ahead and coming in. The tiger passed the ball to the avian and Axel avoided the vixen. Meika let out a shout of frustration as she went after them. “Whoa!” Becks commented seeing this. “A stunning display of teamwork between the super rookie and the champ! The pressure’s on Axel now to score, but they sure aren’t making it easy.”
Tamira rammed into the avian. Axel was running out of time to score and everybody wanted a piece of him. The male drove his car towards the wrong goal he wasn’t supposed to go to before activating his car’s power. Ridding up on the edge of the arena, nobody would catch him there. The guy made it and the score for the RGP was three points for red and two for blue. In the Aispir arena, it was the same thing as well. With that, the event was down to the last quarters of the match. Now the ball was back in the court and it was time to play again. In the RPG arena, Vyxx got the ball this time. Krom tried to get her, but the hyena used her car’s power to avoid that mess. That left Sonny to slow her down. The guy did with his car’s power. While it did work, there was a huge cloud of dust and the guy was left coughing. “Maybe I should’ve though this through,” he stated.
It did work because the timer ran out and the ball was returned to the center of the arena. This time Tamira and Meelo were double playing for the goal for blue team. They saw Krom coming in and she told the chameleon to grapple onto her. “What?!” he asked. “Are you crazy?!”
“Just trust me!” she told him through their car’s communication system.
The chameleon did and Tamira waited for the right moment before passing the ball to him and then avoided Krom. The result sent Meelo flying forward to the goal. The result was blue team scored and it became a tie. “A tie; it’s a tie!” Becks announced.
It was at this point Miles pointed out to Tag about Pike. The tiger agreed with the owl. The lupine hadn’t made any moves at all. “Is he sitting this one out?” Tag asked.
“Either that, or he’s waiting for something,” the owl replied.
Meika then got the ball herself. There were only a few minutes left and if the vixen scored, the blue team for the RGP side would win. “This is almost too easy,” she said, seeing the goal up ahead.
But Xeno was ready and used his car’s power to stop the vixen by creating a goal like structure, similar to one in soccer which stopped her and allowed the timer to run out. “Now that’s how your trap a fox!” Blitz stated.
The ball went back to the center. Krom got it and was pleased with himself. But that was when Pike made his move and used his car’s power. Krom saw the lupine and illusions coming in and then the evil wolf turned them and his car to the side so now they formed a wall heading towards the crocodile’s way. Tag told him to pass it to him. The crocodile did after gritting his teeth. The reptile ran into Pike and Tag used his car’s power to jump the illusions and score the goal for the win. The red team for the RPG had won as Beck and Blitz happily announced the results. In the Aispir arena, the red team had won to. “What a game folks; what a game!” Becks stated.
A bit later, Tag was on the Ark like the others, but the tiger was in one of the hallways. After that event, he was walking a bit slower. An elevator door then opened and out stepped Pike. “Tag!” he called to the tiger, being all friendly and nice like their first meeting. “Tag, wait up!”
The tiger stopped and the lupine was able to do catch up. “What a game huh?” the second male said, lightly punching the feline on the left arm. “Whew! I thought I almost had you there. But what was I thinking? I can’t get you! You’re the Tag! Great job buddy, great job. Man, who would’ve thought I’d be able to-“
“What’s your game, Pike?” Tag cut him off. Now that he knew what the lupine really was, the feline saw through the bullshit acting. The lupine’s fake smile faded. “Throughout the whole race, you were hanging back, taking it easy. And that move at the end? That wouldn’t have stopped me. You know that.” Pike was surprised for a second but then had a neutral face. “If I didn’t know any better, I think that you pulled off a fancy stunt, just to make me look good.” Tag glared at the evil racer slightly. “You let me win.”
“Don’t be such a sourpuss kid,” Pike replied. His eyes and smile bore trickery of the evil kind. “Live in the moment, enjoy the win while you can.” Pike began to walk away but not before giving out one last warning. “Who knows? Your luck might run out, sooner than you think.” Tag watched the guy turn the corner and disappear from view. He didn’t like what the lupine had said.
Meanwhile Axel had just arrived in King’s office. “Ah, Axel,” the hippopotamus said, turning around to face the avian in his chair. “Just who I wanted to see.” King rose up. “Great show. The reigning champion and his closest rival working as a team? The ratings are off the charts.” It wouldn’t have been the same if Axel had worked with Victor despite the two avian’s rivalry. “Huh…” Here King got annoyed. “That’s just like Pike’s style. Set someone up one moment, only to bring them crashing down in the next. Which means… Pike will be making his move soon.”
“So?” Axel asked.
“I know something he doesn’t. A flaw that could make his entire plan come undone. If or when that happens, I need to know whether I can count on you to be on my side when I take him out.”
“After all you’ve done for me, you know I’ve got your back.”
“Thank you, my friend,” King said. The guy looked up at his monitor that was showing replays of the last race. Right now Pike was on the screen.
“Just you wait…” the hippopotamus stated like the lupine was right in front of him. King wasn’t the only one planning their move. Despite this lost, Meika knew the time had come to tell Nicholas what she needed to tell him. He was in a good mood with the win after all. That surely would help right? What they both didn’t know was that something was going to happen that threatened to tear the husky and vixen apart.
