A little one-off comic page idea I had much earlier this year, but kept putting it off, but it never became dated or irrelevant, so I figured I had better finish it, on the off chance that actually doing so will make the situation change. As usual, Zig Zag and unpictured Tina appear courtesy of maxblackrabbit

You know, being a 'rat licker' probably means something else to them.
I love that you're keeping this comic going even if it's once in a grandwhile

As one whom also wears glasses... it helps to pin the mask against your face via the nose pads.
Helps cut down fogged lenses quite a bit. ^^;

That doesn't help me at all, I still get fogged-up lenses. The only way I can get rid of the fog is to lower the mask to below my nose, which you're not supposed to do, but sometimes the fog gets so bad I literally can't see. Which, as I'm sure you can figure, is quite the annoyance when I'm walking anywhere.
I use a mask with exhaust vents. I know not the most recommended but it does keep the glasses from fogging.
One thing that's worked for me with my glasses is to push the mask as far up my face as possible without getting it into my eyes. For some reason, the exhale seems to go over the top of the glasses . . . most of the time. Unfortunately, not 100% perfect but, I'd say at least 80% of the time. Or you could rest the bottom of the lenses on the metal piece that forms the mask to the bridge of your nose. That works for me, too. Once again, not 100% of the time but, well over half the time.
I've found that sliding the glasses further down my nose helps with the fogging. Yes, the focus is off, but it's a big help when walking the husky.
Same, I just go sans glases as at this point it dosent make that much of a diffrence to me
I broke my mask in such a way it would stop doing that, so I can see. My job obligates me to see and clearly, especially in an emergency.
FIRST: I know about the mask are a PAIN, if I have them on for 10 mins or longer it hard for me to breath HOW can anyone breath in them....
second: being lock in at home isn't that bad but it can be a pain when you got things you normally do...
I feel for both Sabrina and Zig Zag here
also 3ed: STILL hoping for Sabrina and Zig to have fun or Sabrina does something big that shock Zig, maybe an april Fools joke like she kiss Zig or does something and say april fools only for Zig to jump as she is not a fool ^^;

Well i whould say that fully depends on the mask.
I tried a few masks in march so till i found some good ones where i can breath nicely. I tried a FFP2 mask, a surgerical mask like in the hospitals, and then i got some cloth masks from a small store that sold them in double packs. And the last ones where good. Since i added a thin wire to the top to keep the mask closer to my face to prevent my glasses fogging up they are perfect.

Studies have shown that the masks, even if layered, don't inhibit airflow, since air molecules are much smaller than the virus or the airborne microdroplets that carry it, and thus the filtering doesn't affect gas permeability.
The "I can't breathe" feeling is basically a psychological thing - you can breathe fine, but you're not accustomed to wearing a mask, so the primal corner of your mind instinctively views the minor obstruction as a threat. It takes time and focus to overcome that instinct.

studies have shown that saying studies show is typically wrong, in the 80's studies showed apples, eggs and tomatoes would kill you if consumed, studies showed that coffee gives you cancer.
fact of the matter is that people have respiratory problems, which is a lot more then people realize, if you have allergies, guess what, that's a respiratory problem, and putting a Kleenex in front of their mouths and nose inhibits most of their airflow, it's not psychological, it's physical. Or people like me who have sinus problems and physically cannot breathe out of their noses 6 out of 10 days and sinus drainage inhibitng their ability to easily breathe out of their mouths even on the best of days . People that say, oh, it's psychological because a study showed, need to do research of their own.

Those with existing respiratory problems, who are a minimal portion of the national and global population, obviously have extenuating cirsumstances - I was referring to otherwise-normal people claiming that they cannot breathe being a purely-psychological reaction.
I said "studies show" because there actually were studies, I just didn't consider memorizing the site address at the time and couldn't recall it when I made the comment. I do recall one portion of it, where a doctor demonstrated that oxygen intake was unaffected, hooked up to a blood-oxygen-saturation meter while wearing one disposable mask, then 2, then 3, and so on, and his O2 level was basically unchanged.
I cannot find the site, but I did find a copy of the video it had:

I worked in the back end of TI's IC farm while in Lubbock, back in the 1970's and 1980's. we wore full scale bunny suits with face masks, I'm quite used to the thing. I mean, twelve hours full time, five days a week, you get very used to the things. What I find comical is that some of the students at the Dental School my wife currently works at bitch that they can't breath with a mask on, to which the instructors say "you are an idiot, in your job you will be wearing a mask all day at your job..." It's just whiners wanting to get out of wearing the things, not realizing that they have to wear them in their chosen occupation.
It becomes very easy to requnise people by their eyes after all, and for example I loved talking with Sabrina in the furnace area, she had such beautiful eyes. Had I not already been married I would have taken her, even though she already had a daughter.

Yeeeeah it’s a good thing Sabrina works from home....
Probably for her safety and sake if she ever has to go see Ziggy...

Hospitals are full from what I understand

Hospitals are full from what I understand
You understand correctly. I heard on the news tonight the Intensive Care Units are mostly 90% full. Last time I was in the hospital it was the end of July, five years ago. Two people in an ICU built to handle 12 (1/6 full).
My sister (pushing 60) is a middle school nurse; she spends all day taking temperatures and administering CoViD tests. Her daughter is testing at a drive-up center.

Last I'd heard, 90% of the ICU units on my state were full, with several hospitals' individual ICU facilities entirely incapable of intake of new patients for any reason, coronavirus or otherwise.
Indeed; this seems to be the path. So let's go out and celebrate the holidays by 'forgetting' our masks and getting together with friends, family and people we don't know. U 2 could be a super-spreader!
Or maybe we could have a little concern for others -- if not ourselves -- and stay home. Best for the season.

Now I want to see what the other members of the ZZ Studio are doing during the pandemic.
Hopefully her incident involving bleach dissuaded Sheila from doing anything else that would be a stupid misuse of it.
The world appreciates your perseverance (with the exception of some Covidiots).
Guess Miss Z should start a podcast or stream or something to pass the time.
Oh man, why didnt ZZ come up with that? XD
Okay, this wont replace the REAL thing, but it gives her a chance to interact with her fans and friends in a way she likes.

...And then ZZ discovers Zoom...
...hilarity ensues

heh...the fogged specs are a nice touch. most annoying thing in the world having to deal with the masks.
Ah, i know the momend when your glasses fog up. Had that problem myself. So i feel that. XD
I fixed that problem by inserting a 1.5 millimeters thick wire over the whole lenght of my cloth mask (Luckily it had something like a tube on the top side where i could just push the wire through) thats excactly following my nose and keeps the upper part of the mask close to my face.
Since i did that i never had a problem with fogged glasses anymore.
And besides that i can only say one thing when you go shopping: Fast in, get what you need, fast out.
And of course to keep distance to others.
Besides that i can only say that everyone should stay at home as much as possible.

As if Zig would ever bother censoring herself by using weaker words.
Poor Zig Zag, she's the one suffering the most in all this.
I guess she never figured on webcam striptease?
I guess she never figured on webcam striptease?
Based on her last comment, it's a lack of "the personal touch" rather than conversing with people is what's giving her a formidable itch.
No way ZZ didn't organize a live-in with 3-4 friends and a truck load of lube.
I can imagine this pandemic had to be tortue for Zig Zag and her friends. How will they get through it?!
I just stopped wearing my glasses out entirely. It's ironically easier to see with blurry vision than with breath fog.
Lucky. I can't reliably identify anything beyond about a foot away without mine.
I'm sure many in the comics would love to contribute Ziggy 😉😘
Awww! (And I can relate to the whole mask-fogging-your-glasses thing x.x) *hugs them all*
Sabrina is way too casual and accepting of this unnatural way of living...
LOL, the struggle is real! As someone who wears glasses, I totally sympathize with Sabrina in Panel 4! It gets even worse when you have to work outside and it's humid or freezing cold; then your glasses stay fogged up.
Remember: If you wear a mask with glasses, you may be entitled to condensation.
Zig Zag is just BEGGING for a boning!
Too bad I'm in isolation, too!
Too bad I'm in isolation, too!
I thought babies and toddlers were supposed to stay at home. Oh well, maybe Sabrina had no one to let her in care, even RC.
Poor Zig. My OC would do her some good. A demon who can't get sick and sporting a prehensile tail among other tricks and treats.
