American Mustelid Alpha - Episode 7, "I Was Taught These Guys Got Feelings" - Part 2
Ep 7, Part 1 || Archives || Ep 8, Part 1
With the tensions in the Burrow getting at an all-time high, the remaining seven mustelids get to truly know what the word "cutthroat" means. Alliances question if the final payoff is even worth it at this point, as a mud-filled team challenge puts everyone against each other - giving spur to the rise of massive feuds between and within the teams at play. Soon it's time for the losing three to face their last shot at safety, which will end another mustelid's "rise" to the top for good.
We want to thank each and every reader for the amazing feedback and support you've given us this far! As usual, you can sound off in the comments and let us know what you think of the characters, the challenges as well as the story itself :)

Nice of you to slip in some boxing gloves at the beginning. It is just too bad they didn't spar instead of just hitting practice mitts. Not sure Zakee has the stamina to go many rounds though. He was already tired 30 seconds into it.
As the competitors clear out, can they not move into the vacant rooms since those beds are now unoccupied?
No surprise that the jailer is good at grappling. He has to handle the prison zoo for a living. With all of the hog badger's talk on enjoying mud though, he performed rather poorly in the match-up.

Yeah, Zakee isn't exactly the most skilled hand-to-hand fighter in this cast. He makes it up with his rowdiness and aggression, but those can only help so much in a sport like boxing.
The sleeping arrangements haven't changed ever since the first episode, but that's more because well... you can't really ask Eddie to move in with the badgers, can you? :P

As sentimental as William meant leaving his picture, the first thing I'd have done upon seeing it is either put it in a drawer or toss it in the trash.
I guess that is why I can kind of relate to the jailer and don't revile him as much as I did in the start.

This sucks, big time. John of all people does not get to gloat. Ludwig should've given that win to Andrew's team because of that stunt he pulled.
It's sad that William had to go, but it was pretty obvious from that match-up who was gonna win. Also, 'Seventh place is nothing to talk about'? Dude, seventh out of... 43-45 in total from the very start, up to this point! He should be more proud of his placing!

William's point was more on the line "seventh place isn't that much of an accomplishment in a house where everyone is all like MUST GET FIRST OR NOTHING, but to me it is" :)
And heh, we have highly physical and full-contact challenges - so while you sort of have to establish some kind of boundary, at the same time you need to let them being free to go at each other without interfering too much (unless it goes overboard, like it did here or especially in the underwater challenge of Ep 4)

Whew, my winner pick lives to fight another day... William made a good first impression but he kinda got overshadowed by other personalities along the way.
Now for the love of god *please* let the next boot be either the badgers or John Blake...

Yeah, we sorta realized that while we were simming the episodes. William started off as a contender with his big win in the obstacle course, but then he kinda disappeared from the limelight and sorta started to come through as a bit of a dead weight in certain challenges, almost always getting picked among the last etc.
I do imagine him taking the role of "provider" and Burrow cook also sapped him of a lot energies to a degree :/
