Type: Welsh Dragon
Description:
There was a time that the Roman Empire had gone through expansion as far as the British Isles. After founding several cities such as Londonium, Roman Legions were scouting across the main island and building roads along the way for upcoming expeditions and foundations for new cities. Among the targeted places was a simple Celtic village, named by Roman historians as 'Rubisquama' (Combination of 'rubicundus' and 'squama', meaning 'red scale'), residing by a nearby mountain where its dwellers made an annual celebration through the use of herbs and fire. Seeing that as barbaric, Roman soldiers slaughtered the entire village except a dozen and sacked what was left of it. However, as the Roman soldiers and their captives left the charred village, there was a teenage girl hiding in a cave behind her destroyed home. Scarred by what happened, she swore to take revenge on her Roman captors and avenge her deceased family and her dead master.
That human girl was named Teudan, according to the same Roman historians who sourced from decendants of the former Rubisquama. She began her apprenticeship as a personal assistant to the town's only fire mage, just a day before the Romans showed up. Rubisquama was one of the seven places in the main island to have an abundant amount of fire-inducing herbs, something that fire mages could use as the ultimate weapon against the one who would reduce the world into chaos, as predicted by the lone soothsayer. The night the Romans invaded her home village, she was crafting her own rune stone whose shape resembled a red dragon she saw back at the taller stone pillar. She was forced to retreat into her private space, which was a small cave behind her room, simplied enclosed by a wooden plank.
Few hours after Rubisquama was destroyed and abandoned, Teudan, traumatized but infuriated, gathered up the last of fire-inducing herbs and mixed them to enchant her stone, creating a magical weapon for her to use against Romans. However, what other fire mages didn't create was a dark magical spell that could transform its user into a dragon. Teudan was not the first user to try it, but she decided to use it anyway. Her enchanted stone glowed red markings across its body and shot a glow unto her, transforming her into what modern-day people described as 'Welsh Dragon'. This process left her a weak headache but then she saw what she had become, she was now a big, red, muscular dragon, whose partially torn clothing was magically replaced with a rather exposing one. She was initially shocked and outright disgusted by her new armor design, but began to develop tolerance in her taste of sexyness laid in mythical dragons.
It took her minutes to realize what she was doing with herself and snapped herself out of it, as she had set her eyes on a nearby newly-founded Roman settlement, just a mile away from Rubisquama. It had no walls except soldiers to guard the foundation, with dozens of settlers building tents and gathering up for new building plans. Angered by that sight, she decided to try taking out soldiers and then their general to drive those settlers out. She doused her arrows with fire herbs and set a shot on one soldier, who decided to relief himself by a dead bush with no one else to watch. However, instead of killing him as she expected, a combination of doused herbs and dragon magic inside the arrow transformed him into his bigger and more muscular draconian self. The transformed legionnaire was initially horrified by his new change but his fear was quickly subsided with his new desire: turn everyone in the world into dragons.
He looked anywhere and eyed on his perpetrator with an evil smile, much to Teudan's horror. Out of fear, she tried to run away to avoid getting caught, but the draconic leggionnaire quickly pinned her down and calmed her down with assurance. He declared his new loyalty to Teudan and asked to offer his new experience as proof. Heated by his new body and persuaded by his sweet words, she decided to accept it with a grain of salt, but it finally proved that the transformed legionnaire was now changed. At the same time, Teudan began to develop the same desire as he did. She felt ecstasy at such thought as well, and then she laughed evilly. Another hour later, both Teudan and her new member attacked the same Roman settlement with a profound variety of magic, transforming every Roman into muscular dragons, loyal to no one but Teudan. Celtic captives on the other hand immediately recognized Teudan as their former fellow and were horrified of her new change, but of giving them the same fate, she ordered them to flee to their safety. Despite her selflessness, her Celtic heart was permanently replaced with a draconian one, and she had somehow forgotten how to turn herself back into human, for her human form was long gone forever.
Unbeknownst to Teudan, many Celtic people, especially mages, knew how corruptible and dangerous that spell could be, even if motivated for right reasons, as it could make its user give in to the new dark desire. Besides one to turn people into dragons, other desires were yet to be known, even to this day.
However, there was one thing that could scar her fellow people for generations to come: Immortality and Indestructibility. Not even Teudan knew this, but even if she did, she could not care about it, for all she now wanted was to turn every living person in the world into their bigger and more muscular dragon forms, permanently stripped away from their former selves and forced into willingly serve Teudan for all eternity. She had become what the other Celtic fire mages were preparing their ultimate weapon against, or what they used to against. She was no longer Teudan, now she declared her new name, Ness Cruth-Atharrachadh, as her enchanted rune stone shot up to the sky, whose clouds turned red and hot, flying down and consuming everyone she had gathered at the very mountain where Rubisquama used to celebrate. Burning clouds vanished, and so did she and her new followers, and no signs of them would stay relevant for millennia, until now.
