When one recalls various events, the mind is usually the place we go in order to access those memories and recall the experiences we had during them. However, the mind wont always be a reliable source of information at times; acting as a tangled maze that causes use to lose memories amongst the shambles of our inner thoughts and new recollections. In spite of the mind sometimes losing information, there are some vessels that can imprison our memories considerably longer that the mind, those being the heart and soul! Both the heart and soul can remember various things form our past that our mind has forgotten…or wishes to remain buried. The heart remembers what the mind wants to forget, and right now, Levyne is experiencing that sad truth.
Exploring the ocean during the midst of a savage storm, Levyne comes across a very peculiar sight, that being a shipwrecked vessel. Taking refuge inside the ship, Levyne examined the vessel’s interior and upon doing so, was overcome with an unexplained sense of sorrow and sadness; so much so that she couldn’t bring herself to stay within the ship. Due to the feeling of sadness in her heart, Levyne decided to rest on one of the rocks that lie just outside of the ship; almost as if trying to relieve herself of the sorrows she felt and bury old memories she wanted to forget. Gazing up at the stormy sky, Levyne’s heartache began to overwhelm her, causing her to shed pure tears of sadness that she couldn’t explain the reason for.
Why is that though? Why is this old wrecked ship causing Levyne to feel this way? Levyne doesn’t really interact with normal people, usually choosing to avoid them for fear of being attacked; so this ship wouldn’t cause her to feel such sadness. Is it because Levyne feels sorrow for the people who presumably lost their life in the wreck? Is it because Levyne is sad about the state of the ship? Or…could it be that Levyne somewhat remembers this ship from her days as a normal girl and her father who was killed during its raid and subsequent destruction at the hands of the pirates who kidnapped her?! But, how could this be? All of Levyne’s memories of her normal self should have been erased upon becoming a shadow, and all of her demon memories should have been forgotten upon becoming what she is now, so what’s happening here?! Well, it seems that those memories of her father and the times she had on this once beloved ship were strong enough not to be completely forgotten; but while Levyne’s mind can no longer recall them, fragments still remain in her heart. I wonder, even if Levyne was able to somewhat recall her past…is it possible she could remember her old life in time? I guess only time and the heart can truly say!
This glorious pic was done by jeso who did a fabulous job on this emotional pic of Levyne somewhat recalling sad memories of her past during a storm. I hope you all enjoy, now can someone please get Levyne and me a tissue?!
*TRIVIA: Even though Levyne has the ability to swim and effortlessly catch prey, she frequently uses her abilities to fashion tools such as fishing nets, harpoons, tridents, and spears in order to catch prey while on the surface.
