Terra couldn’t help but huff and puff with exertion as he gorged himself on the last of the feast set out before him. He no longer needed to move himself to it, instead merely lifting each item to his mouth by magic alone. As he improved at using the spell, he was even able to move multiple items at a time, creating a steady influx of food to his mouth so quickly that he barely stopped for breath.
“Take it easy,” Felix chuckled. He’d been in the middle of feasting as well, but glanced up at the absolutely massive earth-dragon. Every part of the blue dragon’s doughy body shook and quivered with the simple motion of moving his head and giving a good laugh.
Terra quietly stopped for a moment, needing a while to catch his breath, but was always happy to talk to the friendly dragon who had stuck to his side through this whole ordeal. Not that Felix had much of a choice at this point; since neither dragon could fit easily through the temple corridors anymore, they were mostly dependent on Terra’s ability to simply float food from the anthros outside and into the chamber where the two blimps of dragons were resting, always eagerly awaiting their next meal. Truth be told, the influx of food barely even stopped anymore. Terra sometimes wondered what the anthros outside even looked like, probably swaddled in so much fat that it took endless toiling to deal with the sheer amount of food. Technically, Felix was still quite mobile enough to go check, but they were both afraid that his broad, blubbery sides might damage things on his way through the halls, and trying to widen them with his lightning breath would do just as much. It was safer for the two of them to bask in the large room, rarely pausing their meal except for Felix to grab more books.
In the brief period of time Terra had stopped shoveling food into his mouth at the moment, his stomach let out another unhappy growl. Felix turned to watch him in amusement, his own belly always pressing against the ground and between all four of his legs, like a constantly stuffed ball that prevented them from moving any faster than a waddle. “You know, at the rate we’re growing, soon enough I won’t even be able to reach my books!”
“I gave up on books long ago,” Terra chuckled, his girth affected even more than Felix’s, the brief laughter sending so much rippling through his folds that it seemed to never end. His pudge pooled around him like a puddle, jiggling powerfully at every slight movement. The absolute behemoth of a dragon had barely been able to move anything else on his body in quite a while, other than paddling his limbs uselessly in the air. Except for his jaws, of course, which probably got the most exercise. “My size feels amazing,” he elaborated, unsure if Felix felt the same way. But when the blue dragon didn’t say anything, he added, “I don’t even want it to stop anymore. I only want to eat.”
“Well, that’s definitely been clear lately.” Felix grinned. “You almost never stop eating!”
Terra suddenly realized he felt a bit guilty. Felix had been sticking by him all this time, and he barely paused to acknowledge him anymore. He rarely acknowledged anything outside of eating. “Sorry I haven’t been much for conversation lately.”
“Oh, it’s no problem,” Felix chuckled again. It had the same result as before, making his entire body wobble. “I know how you feel about eating.”
It was definitely the one activity they enjoyed together, since Terra was practically immobile and continuously stuffing himself, giving in to the pendant’s needs, although Felix still spent his free time reading. “I bet you could eat as much as I do if you tried,” Terra teased the fat round ball of a dragon. “At least you can still use your arms to grab food.”
“Ah, but think of all the calories wasted by the effort!” Felix grinned.
Terra brightened as he had an idea. “Hang on—maybe you don’t have to.”
The blue dragon watched curiously as Terra focused all his attention on his spell. The large brown feral had plenty of practice with lifting small items, like carts of food, and carrying them into the temple from the main cavern outside. But… could he lift something bigger?
How about something almost as large as himself?
Slowly, as Terra concentrated, Felix’s front began to lift from the ground. His eyes widened in surprise. “What’s happening?” He tried to flail his arms, but they could barely reach anything around him, too padded with fat.
“It might be easier to feed you if you sit up,” Terra explained, carefully leaning the large dragon back onto his haunches. The shift in weight made his flab sag back in a new direction, all of the lard jiggling on his rounded frame.
“Feed me?”
Terra didn’t pause to answer, instead going back to lifting food from the carts. But now, instead of bringing it to his own mouth, he sent it flying at Felix’s. “Quick! Open up!”
Whether Felix opened his mouth on command, or was opening up to say something, was a bit unclear, but the moment his jaws parted the food began to fly inside. It quickly filled his cheeks, the flab bulging, and he had to swallow quickly to keep up with the amount of calories suddenly filling his body. Felix’s initial expression of surprise soon relaxed as he quite literally just sat back and enjoyed the endless onslaught of food. Most of it was carbs, immediately filling his stomach and making it puff up drastically, especially when it was sagging before him while sitting up rather than being crushed beneath layers of his own weight like usual. There was plenty of meat in the meal as well, a nice treat for his feral tongue. He hurriedly swallowed as Terra lifted him in the air somewhat, making even more room for the rolls of his belly to fill with food.
Terra could clearly see the look of enjoyment on Felix’s face and was also enjoying making his friend so happy. After weeks of doing little more than binging, while Felix helped him constantly with simple tasks, now Terra was the one helping Felix have fun for a change.
While lifting his rather large friend, Terra started to experiment with the spell, lifting Felix higher and moving him slightly, watching his increasingly-full tum slosh with each motion. He was so soft and blubbery all over that Terra hardly had to move him at all, since it created a rippling effect through his endless rolls of pudge that continued to bounce and move even when Terra stopped.
Felix began huffing and panting between each mouthful of food, his middle visibly expanding with the sheer amount of food being stuffed inside. His body didn’t process it immediately into fat like Terra’s, so his took on a more rounded shape, his stomach stretching to hold it all. Finally, when his gut was taut and round, Terra figured he needed a break and slowly released Felix back to the ground. He made sure to be gentle, but he probably needn’t have bothered; Felix’s stuffed belly reached the ground long before the rest of him, immediately padding his slow descent in layers of softness. His sides and tum sloshed and bounced around him as he sank into it like a water bed. Amid the pillowy fat, Felix’s head was beginning to seem small by comparison, but Terra could still clearly see the satisfied expression on his friend’s face.
“Have you had enough to eat?” Terra asked him.
Felix gladly licked his snout for any trace of crumbs. “I honestly don’t think I could eat another bite!” He flicked his little tail happily. Well, it wasn’t really little at all, but compared to the rest of his body, the appendage was beginning to look smaller and smaller absorbed by the pooling fat. “If anything, I think I’m ready for a food coma.”
Terra chuckled. He was more than familiar with those. “I’m sure that’ll be relaxing for you.” He grinned a bit. “I don’t think you could even reach any of your precious books right now even if you wanted to.” The other dragon definitely looked too bloated at the moment to move. At this rate, Terra wondered if Felix would eventually be immobile before long.
Felix only shrugged, all of the fat between his shoulders immediately squishing together and wobbling his entire frame again, causing every fat-filled surface to shift. “Well, I guess we’ll find out when I wake up!”
Fortunately for Felix, he could still reach his books a week later. The same wasn’t true for Terra.
Over the course of yet another week, he’d managed to balloon even larger. No matter how he moved, his limbs no longer even reached the ground, swallowed up by the layers of flab swaddling his whole body and spreading beneath him under the pressure of his own massive weight. The pile of lard that made up his frame was effectively stuck atop the platform like the presentation of a jewel, continuously growing to fill now half the whole area, the blubber so vast that it was hard to remember how large and cavernous the main room of the temple had ever looked when they’d first arrived.
In comparison, Felix had definitely fallen behind. Not that he was small by any means, but Terra had also surpassed him in height quite some time ago, so Felix seemed more round than long. Reaching his books was more of a struggle than ever, his belly never leaving the ground entirely and his limbs barely reaching past it. Terra had taken to floating books towards him with the spell on occasion. He relied on it for pretty much everything at this point. His own limbs were increasingly useless, even his fingers so swollen with lard that they could barely move past each other on his paws. They were good for nothing other than grabbing fistfuls of the fat surrounding them and squeezing, enjoying the feel of himself.
Terra was happy to help Felix getting whichever books he desired, but he himself had given up on reading for good. He lived only for eating, sleeping, and having some fun with the other feral. When Terra needed a breather from the endless train of food into his own mouth, he would gladly send a bunch into Felix’s mouth, picking up the other dragon and holding him in the air like a jiggling water balloon as he stuffed him completely full. Felix always assured him that he enjoyed the games, and so they continued. It was definitely doing nothing for Felix’s figure, although Terra suspected that the blue dragon was enjoying the constant eating just as much as himself.
In Terra’s case, the earth dragon didn’t want the food to stop. Not anymore. As he swelled, he continuously sank into the lard surrounding him, enveloping him in his own girth, soft and warm and endless. He felt like a mountain of rolls and bulges, what was still visible of his pudgy wings resting on top, slowly sinking into the adipose as well. Not only was he incredibly comfortable, but there was something about getting so large, about filling the room, that felt extremely powerful to him. The broad space at the center of the temple was absolutely dominated by his unmoving girth.
He couldn’t believe he’d ever been worried about such a thing. Not too long ago, he recalled being a scrawny feral from out of town, hunting for himself and absolutely shocked at a dragon the size of Felix. Now that his life revolved around gulping up endless streams of food to grow even bigger, his previous life seemed like the scrap of an unfamiliar dream.
A tired sigh from Felix brought Terra out of his thoughts. He wanted to look over at his friend, but Terra’s face was so deeply swaddled into his fat that he couldn’t hope to see past it, or even move his head far enough to face him. “What’s wrong?”
Felix slowly—very slowly—waddled into Terra’s field of vision, his breath labored from the brief physical activity and a somewhat dejected expression on his face. “We’ve been at this for weeks, and still haven’t found out anything else about the pendant.” He set down his current book as carefully as possible, although it was incredibly difficult to not knock it around with his own bulging pudge. “I think it might be time to… give up,” he admitted. “Or at least accept that we’ve done all we can.”
Felix looked surprised when Terra gave a brief chuckle, but the brown earth-dragon couldn’t help himself. “I don’t mind the pendant anymore,” he assured his friend. “Although, Felix, I’m really grateful for all the help you’ve been.” He looked earnestly at the round blue dragon. “You’ve stuck by me through all of this, and tried to help me as best you could. You’ve been a great friend.”
The smaller dragon visibly perked up. “Well, of course I wanted to help!” He huffed indignantly. “I wasn’t about to abandon my friend! And also…” He looked embarrassed suddenly. “I suppose a lot of this is my fault, for giving you the amulet.”
“Oh, don’t worry about that.” When Terra chuckled again, more ripples flowed through his body, making the entirety of the blubber bounce and slosh. “If I’d known that being this big felt this good, I may have done it on purpose myself.”
Felix joined his laughing. “I have to admit, it does feel really good to let go and keep growing in size. Although you’re definitely the larger dragon now.” When Felix smiled, his cheeks bulged even wider, all of the flab squishing around his face. “I could never hope to keep up at this point.” He huffed and panted as he began the slow waddle back to where he’d been sitting, undoubtedly burning tons of calories by the effort.
“You know… I have an idea,” said Terra carefully. It was something he’d been wondering if he could do for quite a while. But now, after all that Felix had done, and seeing him so exhausted, Terra decided it was time to try.
Terra focused his spell on his friend. “Open up!”
Felix immediately complied, already more than familiar with this game. As he was lifted into the air, his accumulation of adipose sagged from his body, all of the rolls shifting around his middle. Terra immediately began to send a trail of food into his mouth, the fast pace almost instantly filling it and forcing Felix to swallow the endless calories as quickly as possible. His expression immediately relaxed, clearly enjoying the feeling of Terra stuffing his body with fattening foods. It didn’t take long for his stomach to begin bulging.
“Alright,” Terra breathed, although he didn’t stop the stream of food. He focused very hard on the powers of the spell as he watched Felix’s face, enjoying the look of satisfaction on his blue muzzle. “I’ve been preparing a little something special for you.”
Felix briefly looked confused, but suddenly, his intake of food doubled, just as fast as before. As the spell’s strength increased even more, he also seemed to slowly realize when it tripled. Terra grinned as he watched Felix’s eyes widen in surprise as all sorts of food came flying into his mouth, all manner of calories and carbs making their way into his vast stomach. It was becoming visibly taut, full of breads, dairy, pastries, anything Terra could possibly sense on the food carts outside to send his way. The anthros outside would probably be hard-pressed to keep up at this rate, but the food kept coming.
Finally, as Terra sensed the power of the amulet buried in his neck-rolls, still working tirelessly to increase his appetite, he tried to focus the spell on transferring some of its magic towards Felix. He hadn’t been sure that the magic of the pendant could be spread to others, but he felt it begin to glow with the extra energy. It’s working!
Slowly but surely, its soft light began to envelop Felix’s fattening body, lending him the abilities that it had been giving Terra for weeks. As many as four, then five times the amount of food was now entering his mouth at once, and now everything already in his stomach was being quickly converted to fat, so there was once again room for more. His gut went from being near-full, to being a bottomless pit that easily absorbed every morsel that entered his maw. Like Terra’s body, with the help of the pendant, Felix’s body visibly began to swell.
Despite the influx of food, Felix still managed to smile briefly at Terra as he felt the extra weight packing onto his body, blimping him with the excess of fat from his forced binge. As Terra continued to float him, the blue feral’s body continued to grow heavier, his many rolls sagging and jostling with the force of the food still being shoved inside. Now unable to become full due to the pendant’s magic, the incredible amount of blubber continued to grow around his midsection, then spread to his limbs, puffing them up until he was unable to do little more than flail them happily against the folds of fat around them, the pudge of his neck also expanding to fill the space between his head and his shoulders like a soft, giant pillow. The pudge of his cheeks melded into it, continuing to bulge with the amount of food being shoved inside. Even his tail fattened, widening until it was nearly indistinguishable from the girth of his ballooning belly, hanging so low that Terra was having trouble keeping Felix from touching the ground anymore, just on account of how swollen it was quickly becoming, filling a massive amount of space in the chamber.
Due to the rapid gain, Felix was taking up well over twice the space he’d been taking up before, but Terra wasn’t done. He was somewhat impressed by how well the pendant’s powers were working. He used his spell to bounce the blue dragon’s doughy body somewhat, trying to judge how much more room the yellow ball of a gut could hold. As Felix’s weight shifted, Terra actually saw that the other dragon was now nearly surpassing three-times his original size. Soon enough, even that was surpassed, the other dragon growing at an incredible rate. The brown earth-dragon had had no idea the pendant was that powerful.
Terra realized that he felt quite hungry himself by now, having gone without eating to play games with Felix. Judging by the strength of the amulet, he wondered if it could possibly be strong enough… for both of them? At the same time? He didn’t exactly want to tax its magic powers, but also, neither of them had really explored how strong it was before.
Making up his mind, Terra let some of the amulet’s power absorb back into himself. His body was instantly ravenous, having been denied food for slightly longer than usual. Manipulating the spell, Terra was able to branch off a stream of the food into his own mouth, immediately inundating his taste buds with the usual feast, containing all of the items of the food carts outside indiscriminately into his maw. His own body immediately began to swell, just as it had for so many weeks, although the rate seemed faster now, boosted by the influx of power. He suddenly found himself wondering, since the pendant seemed so much more powerful after having worked on two dragons at once…
What if he switched it back entirely to himself?
Terra gently lowered his friend to the ground. Felix’s sides immediately spread out like an ocean of blubber, the strip of yellow scales that used to be his underside immediately widening against the ground. It didn’t seem much like his ‘underside’ anymore, as the sheer amount of lard on his middle stretched across the floor of the room, now surrounding him on all sides rather than resting under him. His face sank deeply into the many doughy folds, all of his limbs nowhere near the ground anymore, completely immobilized by the amount of fat surrounding them from all angles.
Focusing intently, Terra lifted as much food as he could concentrate on from the food carts outside, immediately levitating it into the chamber. My turn. Floating food into his own mouth, Terra quickly began to gulp it down, at first at his normal rate, but quickly speeding it up to the same rate that he’d been using for Felix just moments before. Everything disappeared into his gullet so fast he could barely tell the foods apart anymore, his mind only registering one single fattening parade of calories into his jaws. It felt good.
Increasing the spell more, Terra felt powerful as the effects of the pendant quickly overtook his frame, packing more soft blubber all over his body. Bulges of adipose continually multiplied across his body, the creases between his folds deepening as the rolls of lard simultaneously became bigger and bigger. He realized he was ecstatic with the results. He wanted more. Bigger, softer, heavier as his weight pressed down around him… He continued to eat and eat. More. More food. More fat, more weight, more feasting. MORE.
Terra roared. The entire chamber reverberated with the sound. His entire body wobbled with the force, traveling all the way through his adipose-encircled neck, through the bulging pudge of his chest, from deep in the layers of his blubbery sides. Less than a moment later, he immediately stuffed a bunch of food into his mouth at once, the largest amount he could possibly fit, the need to become fatter overtaking every other instinct. From beneath the folds of his neck, the pendant glowed brighter than ever, completely squished by the overbearing weight. His sides continued to spread across the platform, the mountainous rolls expanding at an increased rate, his entire body ballooning with fervor, and every slight movement causing waves of ripples throughout his body like and endless sea.
SNAP
The sudden sound was startling enough to make Terra finally pause, just in time to see something silver bounce down his front side and clatter against the floor. He could barely crane his head to look—or crane it at all, really—but immediately realized what it was.
It was the amulet. The chain had snapped.
Terra had become so fat that the pendant had fallen to the floor.
In the sudden quiet that descended over the two dragons, they locked eyes in understanding. Terra supposed it was bound to happen eventually. The chain had been burrowed into the fat of his neck for quite some time now. He supposed he could technically use his magic spell to pick up the pendant and fix it, but to what end? No chain could ever hope to fit around his neck at this point.
As his endless, blubbery cheeks snuggled into the billowing fat extending around his face, he realized he probably didn’t even need the pendant anymore. Not really. He’d already become accustomed to constant eating. He had the spell to help, and he was wonderfully large already, too. He enjoyed the feeling of his entire body drowning in pudge, his limbs fully swollen and bloated, so encompassed by the surrounding pudge of his body that he could barely twitch his claw-tips, the only sign that there were limbs there at all. He had no idea what his back looked like, assuming that his wings had been absorbed into the folds long ago, amid piles upon piles of heavy lard. The fat of his massive belly and sides was drooping off the edges of the platform, his stomach still working on digesting his food now that the pendant could no longer help, so he would still keep gradually fattening for quite some time during the break.
Noticing that Felix was watching Terra for a reaction, the massive earth-dragon sighed in content. “This feels amazing.”
“I’m glad you showed me what it’s like,” Felix agreed. He wobbled upon his own rounded body, sloshing with his own unmovable weight around him, pinning him to the ground. “I can’t believe I’ve never been this big before.”
“Well, it would have been very hard without the spell to bring you so much food,” Terra chuckled. He squirmed a little in his own massive cushion of fat, marveling at how much larger he’d become in such a short amount of time. “I never would have gotten fat at all without the help of the pendant. Every time I move, it’s like my entire body is being massaged by the ripples. They never end.” He couldn’t help but jostle himself a few times in wonder, fully unable to move within the confines of his own bulk. “I’ve never felt this comfortable before. Or this powerful,” he added suddenly. Something felt incredibly powerful about being such a colossal behemoth. “I feel like I could take over the world right now, if I wanted to.” Then he laughed at himself. “Well, if I could move.”
Felix joined in his laughter. “Yeah, you and me both!” He looked down at himself, as best he could past his neck folds, his whole body jiggling again. It was inevitable. “It looks like we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.” He turned his gaze to Terra. “Although, you most of all! Your size is the most impressive. I wish it were me.” He smiled slightly, although he was starting to look drowsy.
Terra suddenly realized that he was beginning to feel the same way. Now that the pendant was no longer propelling him to down massive quantities of food around the clock and turning all of it immediately into fat, he felt truly full, for the first time in a long while. He was all too familiar with food comas. He yawned. “I honestly think we could use a good rest now.”
“I agree,” Felix sighed, catching the yawn, his jaws spreading wide. It was the only time to widen his jaws that didn’t directly involve food. “It’ll give the anthros a chance to restock the food outside, too.”
Terra hadn’t considered that. He wondered what the anthros even looked like by now. He imagined they had to be the shape of balls by now, the richest ones fully immobile, and the workers probably not far off. He supposed this entire situation had ended up working out for everybody.
He didn’t have to lie down or anything to sleep, since he was essentially, permanently lying down, his head pillowed by his own body. Felix could relax the same way, and it wasn’t long before the two massive ferals dozed off, dreaming only of eating, and growing fatter and fatter forever.
