Ahhh, so amazing! Seeing this epilogue back in the day stirred up such emotions, and this painting makes me reminisce!
Yes! There's so much to love about FF7 and this scene has always been one of my favourites. I love the sound of children's laughter after the sequence fades away too, just so beautiful.
It's so emotional. Since it's hundreds of years later, there's the realization that the human cast and the city you spent so much time getting to know has been long dead, but you also see how the world is healing and Red is carrying on and has become a father. It's that bittersweet kind of ending that really sticks with you!
This is the purest and finest fanservice. And I barely even know the subject matter, but suddenly I'm most definitely a fan!
In my private headcanon I shall choose to designate the little ones as Red e and Red pi.

This looks so good! The muted palette makes me feel oddly nostalgic
you're a master of textures! it's like a mossy stone or velvet so it feels like a sculpture and a carpet at the same time
Really nicely done. It looks like a 1960s paperback cover. You also nailed the anatomy. Well done.
Absolutely incredible! You've done the best boy justice.
Simply mindblowing work as usual. Mindblowingly adorable too!!
I would love a print of this when you do make them! This is amazing!
Wanted to add a comment that I really like how you made detail out of non-fine detail. It looks like you blended some of the strokes together to blur the lines a bit which gives the illusion of detail which makes this look very nice. It has a nice 'rustic' feel to it and I enjoy the themes of the art as well. Very well done. : )
Thank you so much, I'm very glad you enjoy this piece :¬), it's one of my favourites for sure! Yeah I do find that 'loosening up' an image by breaking it's lines helps it to flow much in a much nicer way and does lend a hand in the illusion of the picture! Although maybe not always as I tend to take it a bit too far sometimes!!
Listen boys and I will tell you the story of. AVALANCHE TIME!!!!!!!
I regret nothing.

I'm glad I finally caught up to this one in my inbox, because it's a stunning piece and I always love to see it. I particularly enjoy the foliage covered ruins in the background, I'm always amazed at how much detail you capture with such as (seemingly) limited pallet.
Hey thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoy! The ruins are one of my favourite parts too, I loved this reveal at the end of the game :¬).
