This is part twenty four of a series of images followed by stories that follow Warren, a human. And Alice, a Tordenchi. As they both survive during the Rynar's invasion of earth.
Super hyped to get back on this after a 3-4 month Hiatus! Part 25 will be out by 10/12/2022!

"Hey! Hey, back off!"
The mouse's eyes had turned to me, and its face turned to an expression I could best describe as shock or confusion. It looked like a puppy when you caught it doing something it wasn't supposed to.
Slowly its hand left the truck, and soon it leaned back on its knees. Had it done that on purpose? Fondled my only way to escape, to get me out of my tiny home? Its attention lingered on the truck for several seconds. It almost looked like a child, though the idea that it thought my truck was a toy wasn't comforting...
Though the giant seemed shocked, its mouth slightly opened as its ears twitched. Its eyes flickered down as if it felt... Guilty? That's surprising... The last thing I think a giant would feel is guilty about scaring someone smaller or breaking something.
I leaned heavily on the doorframe. The morning's icy air made my breath fog up as I panted. Moving from one side of the lodge to the other had taken the wind out of me.
The giant's eyes shifted back to me as I regained my breath. I wanted to squirm out of my skin as its gaze shifted here and there as if scanning me over. Grimacing, I turned my eyes back into the cabin.
Once again, I felt utterly defenseless... If this giant wanted me dead or worse, nothing stopped it from grabbing me... I even doubt the building would stop it, but it was better than standing out in the open like now...
And so... It sat there, and I stood... Both contemplated the other as if trying to discern meaning from one another's movements...
I began shivering, mainly from the cold instead of fear, but this garnered a response from the giant. It moved a bit closer, and its horrible red eyes examined me in... Worry..?
Recoiling slightly, I tore my gaze from it just to keep myself from panicking; a part of me felt sick from the idea that this giant 'cared.' The thought didn't sit right, given everything these invaders had brought.
I grunted and looked out to the truck once more... But my eyes flickered behind it...
I noticed a large antenna pole strewn out in the snow... my first idea would have been the giant, but there was no way it could have been quiet about it. If it had, then the sound would have woken me up…
My eyes slowly trailed back inside, and as I turned to glance at the radio set, I followed the cable protruding out its side. It roped up to the ceiling and through a hole in the wall. Soon I barely spotted a black cord hidden in the snow leading out to the broken antenna...
So that's why I can't get a signal...
Great...

get your god damned hands off my god damned truck before I blow a god damned hole through your god damned head
But jokes aside she just wanted to examine it out curiosity of the tech disparity between UTO vehicles and Earth’s right? Since it is her first time coming into contact with such non erestal powered machines.
I mean, she was shot down, so she's probably well aware of the danger
I mean like that fact we explosively ignite chemical mixtures to generate power such as car engines, Rockets, etc. lol
But hey we don’t have magic space crystals not due our Sun charge them, so we worked with what we we have. And they proved effective as dangerous as they are. XD
*looks back at page 17*.... So how many ranger stations with radio towers are there next to each other??
Looks like Alice might be getting a chance to show off her techie abilities while playing with tinker toys.... err I mean helping Warren to rebuild the tower.
