Oof...okay, yeah. Her rage was/is all the more warranted
We already know she was five when he started raping her.
So, yeah, there are pretty few ways a five year old girl ends up in the hands of slavers... and murder is pretty much #1.
(Parents selling them into slavery is also there, but ... eugh ... I would like to think Fer wouldn't go there.)

Remember, it's always easier to train a kid than a willful adult.
And, from the sounds of it, he enjoyed 'training' her.

They never think that far ahead. They always think in the short term, believing the long term will just work itself out. Sadly, it's this shortsightedness that always ends up being their undoing.
From an earlier comment (page 62, or so?), he's had a few try to come back for justice. Or, at least, implied.
He probably thought he was safe with Mr Magitech Gun and Mr Solarin Mage.

And he may have been right, had it not been for the daughter of one of the two new gods of this world.
Morgan has her father's eyes and her mother's fury.
Backstory, aka even more reasons to be glad the rapist fuckwits died painful deaths.
I just noticed this seem like the only time seeing a male red panda in this whole story so far?
I wouldn't surprise if 99% of the red panda population is female in this story.
Her parents was some very good people. Too bad the slavers was armed people...
Well at least we know where Lamb gets it. Both parents were also ready to throw down always
I think 'oof' is too mild a word to describe it. It seems to diminish the impact.
I agree. It's just that I couldn't think of anything remotely close to apt.
Heh, true. It's hard to find something that doesn't diminish the fact that her parents were killed, and she started being raped, at the age of five until ... well, however she got away.
"There is no term in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of men.." comes to mind.
For however short their time together was, her parents showed her how to be tough and merciless in the face of adversity. She did them proud!
One can only imagine all the horrible things Lamb saw and experienced with tjos slavers. Not only with what happened to her and Lamb's family, but also all the lives that were captured and sold off by those slavers.
Families destroyed, people lied to and then betrayed. And from the sounds of it, while there is a steep punishment for slavers, it sounds like there is demand somewhere for all those lives.

The nation financially backing these slavers must be pretty powerful for the other nations not turning around and pulping them for all these kidnappings.
I'm wondering if the slavers and their backers might become even more relevent to the main story as the comic continues?

I'm thinking they're more like European city-states of the past. There's like 600 or so per lore, IIRC, with the largest being the size of a small county (100k people or so).
And they don't have to be powerful ... just far enough away that it'd be difficult for other kingdoms to actually do anything.

Very true. I remember a interview in a documentary on the vietnam war. "Alright, so you want to put an outpost somewhere. Well first you'll need temporary structures meaning sappers and engineers. Now you've got a stationary building so you need weapon emplacements, guards, etc. Then you need clear a large enough space to allow choppers to do medivacs and bring supplies. Ten you'll need to protect the perimeter of the outpost since you can't just let them walk up to the front door. So you need vehicles, soldiers, lots of constant supply of ammuntition. Before long your putting an outpost means you end up with a functional base that needs to hold a 5 square mile area staffed with hundreds of soldiers, vehicles and a helepad; just to keep the vietnamese far enough away from the outpost they can't just mortar you to their hearts content."
Back in the walled fortress era you are pretty much limited to how far can your horse travel while laden with supplies for where you can guard. And even then the military was more for protecting the roads than anything else. Step off the well traveled highway into the hillsides and your pretty much on your own.

In more modern times, consider "Uncle Billy" Sherman's march to the sea. Sixty thousand plus people with zero supply lines.
It was a moving military base.
It was a moving military base.
They did that by raiding as they went though. They pillaged every town and city they came across for supplies, both to do morale damage to the confederates as well as to keep themselves supplied. What soldier is going to stay on the front lines while his family and home is in the area thats being ravaged by Sherman after all? There were a lot of AWOL confederates who went home to protect what is theirs while Sherman did his rampage.
So unless you want your forces to start ransacking your own villages and towns for supplies it's not really an option for defensive purposes; but works fine if you are in enemy territory where its more of a bonus than a detriment to sack the place behind you.

And if there aren't any towns within reasonable distance, you need to forage / hunt. Not to mention bring along the blacksmiths, farriers, leatherworkers, etc, all the necessary things to maintain / repair equipment on a long trek with no supply depots.
Now do that march with no major cities or towns along the way.

So, she got her mom's looks... and her dad's eyes. But equal fierceness from both (just judging by the facial expression). But yeah, pretty fucked up childhood.
Extreme violence was justified. Though my methods would have been less than convetional
Diana: her hellfire arm burns bright before smoldering out May those bastards forever be burning in Hell then~
(For real though, those guys suck for doing that. I don't feel bad that she face-@#%$ed the guy with her dagger)

Mama's hair and Papa's eyes. Lamb got the best traits from both aprents.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE
Also, this is gonna get sad, isn't it.....
Also, this is gonna get sad, isn't it.....
It's already sad and infuriating. This is just going to add to our knowledge of her ... issues.
Can definitely see where she gets her attitude and determination. I'm sad we only get to meet these two briefly in this flashback.
That is fucking tragic. And I don't think we've even gotten to the worst part.
For having only used a towel, she cleaned up surprisingly well. Did they find a river nearby, or something?
Prestidigitation. No, Fen found her some water :p
I'm also a bit surprised that Fen is extremely sanguine of the side of Morgan that she's seen. I mean, granted, she was enacting vengeance against the person that enslaved and raped her when she was five years old and Fen knows she's very much not the target of Morgan's rage. But Fen also witnessed Morgan personally, intimately, brutally execute someone by stabbing him in the face until he was reduced to chunks while releasing some cathartic choice words.
But then... maybe Fen also knows that at this point, Morgan really needs a hug.

Now that those bastereds are dead, do they just rejoin the aqonin archives? Gotta say, That seems a bit unfair. At least for those versions
might be worth it to take the bodies with them. slavers like that probably got bounties on their heads in quite a few places. easy money now...
i know this page is all about her backstory, but my focus is still on a Pingu, those faces and the fact they're willingly helping him get on really tells he wasn't worst of the pack.
throughout all this ark my head has had DMC5, doom series and GoW music for each page. now we get her backstory and i can't help but think of "Legacy" from DMC5, and i think that's going to be running through my head for the next few panels.
to put it into perspective, rarely does this happen for a few comic panels and you good sir have been keeping it up for a the entire arch..... well played good sir...

I get a feeling this was a conversation that was long since over do.
Why do I get the feeling, that bastard didn't not die (no matter how many times she stabbed him)? О__O"
I don't know why, but I have this suspicion.

I mean... technically... don't they all return to that big ol' sphere in the sky, to be reborn back into the world at some point?
