(Commission) It's a child, Spock!
So not only did I manage to get Colby-Hedgey into Star Trek TNG, I managed to get her into Star Trek as a whole, which lead to this commission, and to a future story commission of the intrepid crew of the USS Enterprise (No blood A, B, C, or D!) discovering a certain little red Hedgehog!
Side note, while it looks good on screen, I've learned after trying to draw it, that there's almost no consistent details in sickbay, as little things constantly seem moved around or different shapes in other episodes, so drawing this was a lovely little stroll into Madness lol

Oh wow! This is an amazing drawing! Great job on this!
I'm very much a trekkie myself. Thanks to my mother lol
I never realized sickbay in TOS was that inconsistent, but I can believe that. I guess they changed the set to the situation.
I always said they needed more furries in Star Trek!

My goodness, thank you so much! lol if you use SAI 2, I'll share a secret with you that I've learned. Going into the airbrush tool for coloring, and changing simple circle to "noise", is apparently the "Make art look really good" button lol!
lol Ironically, I too have my mother to thank for getting me interested in the show at a very young age!
I'm guessing certain parts of the set were taken apart between filming, and things were moved from week to week, or people decided that they didn't like certain things for the story, but like, the table both does, and doesn't have buttons, the contents of the shelves change a lot, and the lizard on the wall is only there sometimes. lol It took a LOT of researching, rewatching, and eventually just saying screw it and choosing what felt right to me.
lol and hey, if that's your sentiment, my sister commissioned a piece for me with my sona in it! I think it's somewhere here in my gallery!

I love how this turned out jooc!!!! I can see all the hard work that went into it
Also thank god for McCoy coming in a saving poor Colby from being poked and prodded by Spock, I know he wouldn't hurt him too much, But I also know the protectiveness of McCoy given also that he has his own kid canonically.
So worth getting this picture made into reality! Thank you again big bro!!

Oh yeah, that's right, he has a daughter if I recall correctly! lol that's a good line of reasoning, and a very well researched point!
lol it was my pleasure to bring this to life! It's been awhile since I've really dedicated myself to doing a solid piece of fanart for something I really love! It reminded me a lot of when I was younger and would just draw fanart for the heck of it, and felt like I always just had spare time to do little things like this. It was refreshing! Plus, now it reminds me of us hanging out, since I've managed to get you into Star Trek too!

*chuckles... very well done....
amazing that there are so few episodes of the original series...

Yeah, it was sadly cut short to 3 seasons... It did get some revival with the same writers and voice cast in the early 70s with the Animated series.
Indeed, and I'm looking forward to watching that series with the Commissioner once we finish up the original series!
Thank you, and indeed! It's one of life's great tragedies that we didn't get more seasons of the Original Series! I'd have loved to see the characters evolve and develop like they had the chance to in TNG!
lol thank you so very much! I'm delighted you enjoyed the picture!
OKAY SO, IN MY STUDY OF SICKBAY, (which was an act of madness) I LEARNED A LOT OF THINGS.
The set was largely inconsistent, but in the earlier seasons, McCoy had this decoration hanging up on the wall, then it was moved to one of the shelves, and then it just vanished entirely. I don't know WHY McCoy had a wall lizard, but that was apparently a thing he had put in when he was in Sick Bay

lol it is pretty jarring when you first see it, because the thing is just so out of place looking!
