This bushwalking track was rather well hidden. Nestled in Crow's Nest the area was spectacular. The limestone cliffs, rock pools and falls were very dry during the month we visited, however we are already planning to return to see the area after heavy rainfall. Many future paintings will be inspired by this stunning natural beauty.

So many layers of depth, different surfaces and palettes used in this painting!
It's a true maze for the eyes, and it's very enjoyable to explore.
May you return to these magical environs soon!
Are there actually any crows there? I kept trying to find one in the picture, before concluding that the real crows must have been the friends I've made along the way.

Thank you for saying so! There were so many layers of striation through the limestone it really did reflect the green of the river and falls further up stream, something I have never seen before. Ahaha, I love that saying! There weren't many crows at all in Crow's Nest which is surprising, lots of honey eaters from the golden wattles, a small family of kookaburras and koalas were all seen.
What bright, adventurous, creative minds the pioneers must have possessed!
They came to that place back in the day, looked around, saw all the kookaburras, wombats, lhurgoyfs, insulindian phasmids, flatbears, hoop snakes and buffalo-sized spiders, and thought to themselves, "Crow's Nest".
Thank you for breathing a little more life into this painting with your descriptions!
