Very simple recipe from my family -
1 box spaghetti
1 container mushrooms, sliced
1 half pound of mussels, pre-opened + par cooked
1 heaping teaspoon of chopped garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup of chicken stock
salt and pepper to taste
* squirt of fresh lemon (did not add, but I think this would add more "oomph" to the dish itself)
All you need to do is get a saucepan and sauté the mushrooms in the oil until they soften...add the garlic as well as the mussels, and then the chicken stock to keep them 'moist' and flavored -
Then once the pasta is cooked (save at least a cup of the pasta water), drain and then toss the pasta with the garlic, mushrooms, mussels and etc - if the pasta needs more loosening up add a bit of the pasta water.
Serve and add a squirt of lemon (or lemon zest on the top) and enjoy!
~ Probably would not hurt to add finely chopped fresh parsley at the end as well, its optional anyways :3

Oh, wuff NEEDS to try this! Two of Vrghr's favorite ingredients in the spaghetti!
Ive seen a Thai curry version of this that I really want to try next :3
