I love it when the ears go fwip fwip

Worlds best poker face. Worlds worst Poker ears. I can relate.
"i call this one; inquisitive concern. and that one; passive annoyance"
I have a feeling the B(accidental murder) plot is about to mix with this one
Kass has a marvelous expression in that last panel, getting more used to the yinglet facial muscles I see!

That’s what I’m wondering, and eager to get back to
I think it’s subconscious but yeah the body certainly is

Accidetially spilling a heap of insides at the outside. Perfectly fine.
She is constantly petting her shoulders hehehehehe
Murder Worms that move real fast...
Yeh TOTALLY NOT a reference to Tremors and those Graboids... 🤣👍

You know something is very very wrong when Baxxid are moving fast
Might be understandable that they're a tad agitated right about now.
The last few pages are starting to remind me of the opening of a Phoenix Wright case. Is the Baxxid going on trial? Was that guy who stole the statue actually already ripped open and let all his intestines out at the right moment to frame the Baxxid and start a diplomatic incident??
If Kalgkur is going to face any serious repercussions for this (beyond his own trauma), it'll probably be from the Baxxids themselves. Despite how socially and politically progressive they are compared to the rest of the world, Ivenmoth still doesn't strike me as the kind of organization that would be all that concerned with the death of a petty thief. They wouldn't explicitly encourage that kind of behavior, but I would be surprised if recourse for it went beyond a few weeks in jail or maybe minor corporal punishment.
The baxxids, however, still exercise some political autonomy, and considering how concerned they are with maintaining good relations with the humans, they might have much harsher repercussions in store for a baxxid who kills a human in Val Salia, thief or not.

Ah, so while Ivenmoth might be willing to let a dead crook slide as just the cost of doing business, the Baxxid government would be MUCH MORE upset about the incident.
I dunno. The human guard officer was freaking out about it. I mean, it was a light punishment, but Kal was being punished for disturbing the peace. And the seamstresses were freaking out when Granny bopped Kass. I don't think Ivenmoth is going to go easy on manslaughter, accidental or otherwise.
Speaking of fast baxxid I can't wait for kassen to find out the baxxid vs thief incident.
Oh right lovestuck baxxid boy was in the middle of eviscerating a market thief by overreaching with way too much speed and strength
Yannit is no slouch, and I expect that if she needed to fight, she would be an absolute terror.
So to see her shrinking down like that, making herself smaller, is a very ominous and disturbing sign.

remember when Lopin told her Elim was hurt and she went on an anger frenzy that would only be solved by touching and feeling Ran's hair?
Oh yes. That was a fun time!
But no, I'm talking about actually fighting, not just threatening. I think she would be absolutely lethal.
But she ran away. That's telling.

Their limbs aren't that strong or fast at swinging or thrusting, but those 3 claws on the shoulder arms have around a ton of grip force!
Oh...oh no its no doubt because one turned one guy into cold cuts...
I don't even watch Markiplier, cultural osmosis is a hell of a thing.
Kass's little crew of oddballs are the best :3

i uh... i may be osmosis proof.
...or osmosis deficient but not bodily thankfully.

You know, I really enjoy how despite everything Kass doesn't seem to have a properly prejudicial bone anywhere. Heard the Ivenmoth bit about like, equality and togetherness and didn't think twice at all. Misconceptions about things, sure, but not anything some evidence doesn't immediately dispel.
He may be prejudiced against one or two of Ivenmoth's competitor Houses
Yinglet faces are so gloriously expressive!
(You know something really serious is going down when the ears splay both ways.)

Wonder if Kass realizes that their ear flicks. Probably does. Sudden surprise movement from the fwip!
And suddenly Kass becomes aware that all is not well
Ohno. I think I can guess why they'd be in a frantic, horrified rush.
Is this where Kass and Kalgkur finally meet. I have been wondering if their plots would merge for a while. Kal could use some more friends.
As long as this doesn't turn into a Rumiko Takahashi story where the first quarter of the story is getting the band together and the rest of the story is a series of misadventures that do nothing to advance the plot.
I get the feeling kalgkur is going to become part of kass's group as a result of The Incident.
Yannit looks so cute when she's all scared an stuff ^-^
Poor girl \o3o/
o3o and yes now about the manslaughter incident.

🎵 we love the company! 🎶. .... Wait. Wrong reference :3
Oh no back to our poor baxxid
Oh no back to our poor baxxid
They got this new game called Sonic the Hedgehog and man they gotta go fast now :U
That's...probably not a good thing. They might KNOW something everyone else needs to be privy to.
One advantage of a yinglet body is that it's far easier to put your foot in your mouth...
Prolly talkin about those sculptures down by the bar! Heard business was going well
Anyone else ever accidentally read the t's as z's in their head in the non-yinglet text? XD
Deep down everyone's gotta feel like they're part of something bigger.
Looks like the worm has hit the fan big-time, and now Kass, being an Ivenmoth officer, is about to get dragged into it. This gonna be interesting.
Kass “fast baxxids aren’t real they can’t hurt you”
Yannit *the crawling, squirming, frantic movements of the deadly worm creatures below enters her mind, she can hear screaming cut short, they are moving fast too fast, she is scared*
Kass “wait wut”

The Baxxid have carefully cultivated a public image of themselves as peaceful intellectuals. And Kalkgur just violently slaughtered a human without meaning to. For the Baxxid and Ivenmoth, this is a PR disaster.
Baxxids... she said claw worms, plural. I bet the whole baxxid community is nervous as I bet that there wasn't been a kill of human in the city for a great while.
Oh, goody, we're looping back to a very intense and unhappy story--not that we have any choice about it. We're all hooked and fascinated by now.
'Ello dere, OOPs fanciers! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
It closed out last month at 956 votes and 82nd place. It's currently at 85 votes and 35th place. The highest it's reached is 36th place, and the top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

Turns out, Kalgkur just speared-headed the Baxxid revolution. It’s turning into A Quiet Place down there.
I was wondering how the news will be broken to Ivenmoth's highest ranking officer lady,
and this is the most artfully cunning and chilling way this could have been done.
None of my feeble imaginings could compare: to have the messenger
be the frontrunner for the sweetest person in the organization,
and who is incidentally also the undisputedly scariest one,
express her concerns that the baxxid commotion
has made her cozy-creepy-crawly tunnels
unsafe for her, and that she is shuddering
with the fear of this change...
This is some subtly apocalyptic messaging.
Bravo! Hairs raised and blood curdled.
I like how Kassen emotionally re-centers herself with a condescending formulaic lecture!
She is such a Twilight Sparkle. A lot to learn about friendship, humility and interspecies transness.

Well Kass is the one with the badge and gold collar here, she clearly knows best!
I am trying my absolute hardest to not hear Chamberlain in panel two~
The girls did an excellent job with Yanit's uniform. Baxxid in a hurry would be like subway cars in those tunnels. I can see how it would make Yanit nervous.
Kalgkur is about to get a stern talking to and blunted claws and then they are going to take away his head-flag and make him clean the deepest reaches of the hive and also entertain the blooming baxxids.
Whoa... I just realized that Yannit is trembling in the second-to-last panel.
Admit it. Yinglets exist to balance out how utterly terrifying every other species is compared to humans.
