Experiment in starting seedlings in a hydroponic bin then moving to pots before the roots become entangled. Medium used was rock wool in AeroGarden baskets. Varieties include Black Vernissage, Black Trifele, Yellow Pear, Paul Robeson (I think?), and some sort of Yellow Pear/Trifele hybrid abomination that tastes like roasted marshmallows. If I was smart, I'd have kept labels and would be isolating amazing hybrids for propagation and possible distribution. Well, if I get more of that super sweet hybrid, I'd better take some cuttings.

Those look happy and healthy to e sure and you would save several hundred bucks by starting them yourself rather than getting them from the store.
Do they really cost that much now? Wow. Gardening, as marketed, is an idle hobby for the rich. Maybe I ought to do some sort of tutorials on DIY hydroponics.
The big ones in pots like that can be pricey, plus with inflation factored it, its not as cheap as it used to be.
