Biography: Eathelin is one of the many 1/2 mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being born a day after Aviella was born, making her part of the 3rd line of 1/2 mermaids born into the family. Eathelin spent a good chunk of her life around animals & was often happy to be able to be around regardless of what it was. From small ones like squirrel monkeys to even big ones like pythons, it didn't matter. If it had fur, scales, or even feathers, Eathelin wanted to be near it as much as possible. To that end, Eathelin decided to be a ranger to be able to become a guardian of animals & their ecosystems. However, she majorly learned how to fight using bows & guns, so making her a ranged fighter. However, Eathelin one day picked up one of her father's Chozodian enhanced shotguns without knowing it, and wound up firing a strong energy blast rather than a normal shotgun blast from a shell. Noticing this, Eathelin realized that she had snagged a Power Shotgun rather than a normal one. She attempted to return it, but Juni allowed her to keep it as he had a few others like it. As such, Eathelin resumed training with this weapon until she got the hang of it, even going as far as to make a bow that acted like Zipporah's Power Yumi. Nevertheless, Eathelin's ranger training was eventually complete, and she began to protect animals & the ecosystem alike, even across the Metroid Universe where she helped put up fights alongside her other Metroid themed sisters to defend galactic civilization & even the different creatures that innocently inhabit said planets, making her a Space Ranger with the benefits of a normal ranger. Nevertheless, whether there or on Olympus, Eathelin is prepared to fight when the need arises. As is to be expected from those in Juni's family, Eathelin is a very friendly girl who makes friends easily and is perhaps one of the more cheerful family members as well. However, she is also known to be a tease every now & then, and she spares no one from it. Eathelin has a big soft spot for animals & wants to ensure that they continue thriving alongside people. She has a particular fondness for wolves, proclaiming them to be her favorite animals of all. Although Eathelin doesn't consider her an environmentalist, she does not agree with those who go to extremes, such as disfiguring oil paintings for instance. Eathelin also at one point didn't get along well with her own older sister Oriana when she discovered her Septima creates & manipulates phazon. However, this did not last long as Oriana used her Septima for good. She even felt sympathetic for Oriana when her septisome was wiped out with Phaaze's destruction, and was even among the 1st to celebrate alongside Oriana when her Septima was fully restored for good. Eathelin, like a number of her sisters, is a proven absolute mudlark, she is extremely willing to throw herself into quicksand the moment she discovers a pit of it, and she gets excited the moment she finds signs of quicksand in the area. To that end, she is quick to get unhappy if she is on a planet that lacks quicksand. Dislikes 3D printed meat with a passion.
Abilities: Being 1/2 Mermaid, Eathelin is capable of transforming into her mermaid form the moment she enters the water, eliminating the need for anything that enables free movement in the water. As a mermaid, like all her other 1/2 mermaid siblings, she has excellent swimming speed, can breathe underwater without the need to surface for air; though she & her other sisters form gills to help with this, too, and she can commune with aquatic creatures of any kind. However, she primarily transforms in fresh, or seawater. And like her mother & siblings, Eathelin strongly prefers the water to be clean before she thinks about transforming. Eathelin is a very capable marksman. She is very proficient with bows & guns and she primarily uses them as her main means of fighting. She has a good balance of offense & defense and is fairly fast on her feet, but she isn't as fast as her little sister Zipporah however. Nevertheless, Eathelin does have some skill with a sword & carries a Ginunting Sword for melee defense if her target is too close to her to get a safe shot in. Though such instances are rare & so it hardly gets used, but it still sees action. Her starting gear is as follows.
Ranger Suit: A High-Tech suit that serves as Eathelin's armor. It appears to be made of cloth & hemp, thus making it seem like it isn't all that suited for defense. However, Eathelin has some metallic properties sewn into her suit to make it hard for enemies to tear it open.
Visor Scouter: A high-tech scouter serving as Eathelin's means of tracking her enemies. It replaces a previous one-eye scouter that kept breaking on her constantly. It has scan, thermal, and x-ray modes. Of course, it can read her target's power levels, too.
Power Shotgun: Eathelin's go-to weapon, and her primary one at that. It's a Mossberg 500 shotgun that was restored using Chozodian technology, so it fires off beam weaponry rather than using actual shotgun shells. However, it can be switched to use these if the beam weapons installed are not having much effect. The shotgun can be outfitted with the Ice, Wave, Spazer, and Plasma Beam upgrades and is Charge Beam compatible. It even has a M1917 sword bayonet attached to it that can be taken off to be used if need be.
Power Bow: Eathelin's high-tech bow, acting as another main weapon of hers. Like Zipporah's Power Yumi, it forms a string by pressing a button on the grip, and the energy string forms its own arrows, too. When focusing while readying an arrow, the bow can charge up power & let a stronger shot loose. As it stands, Eathelin's bow can only shoot normal energy arrows, along with Spazer arrows.
Ginunting Sword: Eathelin's own back up sword for close encounters. The blade has a longer reach than the sword bayonet she has for her shotgun, and the blade deals more damage, too. Eathelin rarely uses it, but when she does, she always lands a killing blow with it. It's a metal weapon, so there are some materials that it cannot cut. On the other hand, it's so well made that breaking it on even the toughest metals & stones is impossible.
Laser Pistol: A small handgun Eathelin uses for tighter areas. Modeled after a Walther PPK, it essentially shoots off lasers that can pierce the defenses of most enemies, and it can be charged to fire off multiple homing lasers. However, firing it rapidly can quickly drain it of its energy clip, requiring a recharge in between shots.
Missile Cannon: Eathelin's right arm has a gauntlet that morphs into an arm cannon that is solely used for missiles. The missiles are used to destroy things her other weapons cannot. The cannon can hold normal, super, and ice missiles & she can carry a maximum of 255 missiles, 75 super missiles, and 70 ice missiles.
Grappling Module: A technical gauntlet designed for using different grapple upgrades. The Grapple Swing & Grapple Lasso are present.
Space Jump: This allows Eathelin to perform multiple spins jumps without stop for as long as she able to. Tends to be used if grapple points are few & far between.
Space Jump Boots: These boots allow Eathelin to perform a double jump if not spin jumping. They can serve as a good height booster for regular space jumps.
Screw Attack: This turns Eathelin's body into an energy wrecking ball, allowing her to harm strong enemies and eliminate weaker ones instantly just from coming into contact with her.
Varia Shield: Prevents damage from acid & heat.
Metroid: Nintendo
