Enigma: "I find it difficult to believe that a man in your position, with your physique, would ever have need of caution."
Volpes: "You seem to be under the mistaken impression that I'm either invincible or immortal, Detective. I assure you that I am neither."
Enigma: "The way your partner throws himself into danger, repeatedly, leads me to draw some conclusions."
Volpes: "Hmph. That's just how Az operates. It is true that we titans heal faster than the average person, and that we can handle harsher conditions, but we can still be harmed. And if an injury is severe enough, it can still demand treatment."
Enigma: "Personal experience, I take it."
Volpes: "Something like that. Fortunately, I always had a skilled physician on hand."
-Transcript of an interview between Volpes and Enigma, one month into rehabilitation
Twenty years as both a crime boss and local physician meant that Volpes was quite capable of treating his own injuries, and that of his compatriots, when his plans and schemes went south. Though he succeeded more often than he failed, he was more comfortable treating his own injuries than he'd like to be.

Volpes was and still is amazing, but I have to admit that I was hoping to see at least one or two failures before he and Azurium were caught.
I must confess than I wish I hadn't rushed immediately to the part where Enigma and Edmund capture those two, and wrote a few more scenes of them in their criminal element.
But perhaps that can be backfilled one day.

How does he make bandaging oneself look so easy? It's a bloody pain for me
Twenty years as a local doctor and pharmacist will do that to you. :D
And that's why you need at least 1 person who can vast Heal, Cleanse, and Cure during those missions.
Nothing a bit of medicine and bedrest won't fix. :D
