With my flights for FE so often leaving from Gatwick, it's nice to have a morning view over the approach to Heathrow once in a while. ^__^
Here is my long-overdue summary of my wonderful weekend at Furnal Equinox in Toronto! Day by day, I'll be posting my experiences to accompany a photo taken on each day.
I woke up just as we were approaching the Irish coast, just in time for our snack service, which was acceptable for airplane food. We landed a few minutes early, and emerged from the clouds on final approach to this lovely view over west London, particularly the Kew Botanical Gardens and the borough of Richmond. After leaving the airport, I sought out an information booth and asked for the cheapest way to get to Reading, and was told that I'd have to get the train or the express bus, each costing about £25. Some quick searching told me that I could, in fact, get a local bus to Slough, and then a train to Reading from there to pick up my pre-booked express train back home. I later found out that the information booth was, in fact, run by a private company that is very poorly rated on Google Maps. Hence why I'm not a huge fan of the culture at Heathrow Airport. :P
My travel back was quite smooth, and I had time in Slough to find a supermarket, buy some lunch, and enjoy some pastries and a cup of tea in their cafe. I got home just before 13:30, at which point I set down my bag, opened my work laptop, and got straight back to work. Yes, I'm crazy. No, you don't need to tell me again. ;-p
Hope you enjoy!

Until next year my friend and hopefully you’ll have time to visit the museum before the con.
Yes! I'm planning to spend a couple more days in Canada next year. I'll be sure to keep you in the loop! :)
The one time I went to Canada, the whole trip was work.
Gahh! Hopefully you'll get the chance for a more leisurely visit, soon. :)
Glad you got home safe and nothing fell off the plane at any time. Take care and stay safe dude, can't wait to see your next set of photos and read your stories! :D
Thank you kindly! Yes, thankfully this was one of the older Boeing jets (from before the MDD merger, that is). ^__^
