A Reason why we Need to Address Global Warming Now

I assume that a good deal of our members are already familiar with this problem, but I bet a lot of people aren't. But everyone who watches this will certainly learn something they didn't already know!
People see Global Warming and all they'll do is point to the recent winter ravaging the US.
But I am not sure to what extent these videos should be taken to be technically correct.
Humans contribute only 3% of the world's pollution. The biggest contribution is decomposing plants and wildlife. (Specially the volcanos)
So, call me an idiot but I don't believe in global warming or climate change. Temperatures drop and rise all the time.
If the United States was interested in preservation of the planet, other nations would follow. But as it is, America has a hard enough time keeping Creationism out of science and getting The Villages in Florida to recycle.
also, why are they only 90% sure? shouldn't they be 100% sure? what happened to the 10%? you see, there is no definitive proof that humans caused this. even though the emission of co2 comes from factories and such but don't plants need co2? i understand that they don't need as much but they still need it.
climate change is going to happen regardless of what we do. its nature. we are probably speeding it up but there is nothing we can do to stop climate change. it happened before humans and its happening now.
Actually, scientists are closer to ninety-seven percent sure that human activity is responsible for recent climate change. To put that in perspective, they are less sure that cigarettes kill people than they are that climate change right now is a phenomenon being caused largely by us.
And you're right. Carbon emissions are absorbed by plants, but the rate C02 is entering the atmosphere is significantly greater than the amount that can be taken out. Earth may be large, but the atmosphere is comparable to a thin coat of wax on a basketball.
I have already mentioned ways to combat human-caused climate change. Even if it turned out the substantial scientific research done on the subject was wrong, we would still benefit from better technology, as well as cheaper and cleaner energy.
Sitting on our hands and saying it can't be helped while major polluters continue poisoning the environment is complacency in the face of nearly irrefutable and catastrophic danger. I say this as someone who would like to ensure the survival and prosperity of the human race.
CO2 Emissions
See the red line zig-zagging up and down? That's C02 in the atmosphere. Every summer it declines a little bit because the Northern hemisphere of Earth has a burst of flora growth, but during winter, the flora mostly becomes dormant, and C02 rises. The plants absorb CO2, but they can't keep up with the supply.
But listen, scientists are not divided on the fact that humans are causing climate change. There is no debate that humans are responsible. Where did you get your statistic that humans are only responsible for three percent of the world's pollution?
In all seriousness, I agree. Absolutely. Even if we weren't responsible for climate change, why shouldn't we operate assuming we are? All evidence points to us being responsible; we can't sit on our hands and hope this goes away.
