A silly thought
So, every time I get a commission, there's a part of me that looks at the art reference I get, and then my immediate thought is to replicate the style it's in.
THEN I have to conciously make an effort to remind myself.
The person commissioned you because they like your style. They are your client because they like your art.
Draw in YOUR style.
And the thought continues to blow my mind.

You do have a lovely style, too, though, and a pleasantly distinctive one. You're one of the artists whose work I can generally recognize from a thumbnail.
I am so glad you can see my art from thumbnail alone! It's a huge compliment!
but there is the sudden idea of one of my chars meeting one of yours, and both in their original style... if that makes sense?
"You look funny, dear." - "Me? have you looked into a mirror lately?"
;)
If you find yourself copying aspects of the reference, it may be you'll incorporate some into your style long-term and be the richer for it. Leastways, you'll have more in your toolbox.
Style isn't fixed until you cease drawing.
