~CirrusSkyDragon
I am in my 40s, straight, single and from Rhode Island. I am the leader of RhodeIslandFurs where I organize meets, manage our FurAffinity page, Telegram group, Facebook page and X/Twitter account and try to herd together our local group of furries.
I've always been a fan of cartoons and mascots, but I didn't join the fandom until the summer of 2009. I spent about two years lurking on journals and websites before I finally decided to join. I've become a fan of the fandom because I love the artwork, the fursuiters, the personalities and all the creativity and imagination that comes from it.
I'm not an artist or a blogger, so don't expect a lot of updates on this journal.
I attend the conventions in New England regularly (Furpocalypse, Anthro New England and Furcationland) for a long time. I have attended Anthrocon and Midwest Furfest and hope to attend other conventions around the country.
I do not have a fursuit, but I plan to have one. I have a particular fursuit maker in mind, but I have yet to commit to asking for a commission.
I'm a big Disney fan and collector, but I've always been a fan of animation in general. My other hobbies involve games of all sorts: board games, video games, game shows, crossword puzzles, etc.
I can be reached either through Fur Affinity and YouTube under my username "CirrusSkyDragon" and on Telegram under "@CirrusSkyDragon."
Cirrus is a sky blue and white Western dragon who spends most of his days flying, so he is curious about the things he sees and the people he meets on the ground. He is friendly, observant, inquisitive, investigative and curious but not in the sense of wide-eyed, child-like wonder. I like to think of him as a reflection of my thirst to learn and know more.

Facebook and 2015 conventions
I have finally (and reluctantly) gotten a Facebook account. I have a personal account, which will likely have no updates on it. If you look at my history of posts here on FA, you'll see that I'm not much of a journal writer. If you want to send a friend request, please send me a note on FA or contact me on Skype.
I have also created a Facebook Page for Cirrus. It is here: https://www.facebook.com/CirrusSkyDragon That is more likely to be updated, but again, don't expect a lot of activity.
The real purpose for getting the account is to take charge of the RI Furs Facebook group and to be a part of the New England Furries/Therians group. The local furry events that I organize would benefit from the announcements I'll make there. Look for me on both groups.

My last post was on February 1, so I haven't gotten around to talking about the conventions from this year.
AnthroNewEngland was a blast! The staff did a great job with all of the events that weekend. No one expected the record-breaking attendance. The hotel was wonderful with some of the best staff I've experienced. I'm ready to come back in January.
Anthrocon this summer was great. I was able to meet more people than ever. The outdoor parade was a moment of magic for everyone involved and looks to be a new tradition. I almost didn't go because of a trip to Disneyland in California on the following weekend, but it was worth it to do the extended vacation.
Furpocalypse is coming up in October. I'm really looking forward to that weekend.
The timing of Furpocalypse makes it possible for me to go to RI Comic-Con in the first weekend in November. The list of attending celebrities is huge and insane! I'm planning for a furry invasion to get a bunch of fursuiters from around New England and possibly do an impromptu parade in the outside hall of the convention center. Wish me luck.
