It's been a really long time that I've wanted to color this piece but was just unsure how to go about it. I finale built up the courage and took the plunge. Choosing the natural colors of the King Cobra and placing him in some old ruins. Perhaps a guardian of the old ways or an assassin lurking in the shadows.
Cobras have always been one of my favorite animals and will always have a place in my soul.

I know this is totally random but how do you get such good scans of your work??
I just use a canon 8800f scanner, nothing special. I do have to do some touch up on the contrast and colors. I've never found a scanner that gets the image very close to the actual art without adjusting it in Photoshop.
I suppose i just gotta learn how to properly play with it in photoshop. The colors always turn out super weird and it doesnt like to pick up the darks all the time.
Thank you!
Thank you!
How captivating! Wow, this piece is really good!
Great work with all the details.
Great work with all the details.
the details are amazing, from the cobbling of the stones to the fine intricacy of the blades, and especially his scales and dreds; magnificent:)
Reminds me a bit of the white cobra, the guardian of a Maharadja´s treasure temple in Rudyard Kiplin´s Jungle Books

You do an amazing job with designing and coloring cobras. This one is an epic design and detailed pic.
Hmmm, left-handed I see. In some ways that's an advantage.
Also interesting that his hood extends below his shoulders.

damn, it's been ages since I've seen this picture! This was influential in inspiring me to make a snake character to begin with and it looks spectacular seeing it colored.
Still after all these years, one of my favourite pieces of snake/naga artwork! <3
You draw naga snakes so well :D Love how he looks. Spectacular detail on his gear, too!
The wait was well worth it because he is absolutely gorgeous, the smile, the look in his eyes, his pose with the swords, the hood, the shading oh god the background adds to his character enough too I love everything here.
Wow! You've practiced your talent. I remember some of your early work, but now . . . the progress is wonderful. :)
Greetings DarkNatasha!
