Joachim is a priest who dreams of a world where all species can live together in peace. He tries really hard to get everyone to at least tolerate each other, but sometimes the road to peace has its obstacles... :P
Not all Sa'jiir (lizards) are like this, but every species has its fair share of bloodthirsty asshats.

Yeah, I rather be on good terms with a GIANT lizard species. I will say though he looks pretty snazzy and the temptation to boop his snoot is pretty high considering
Maybe a company specializing in protection against Mayhem?
...Ooohhh, that insurance company. I think the gecko is just fine, thank you.

Hehe I'd hate to see that Gecko replaced by a Tokay Gecko... nasty lizards with an odd call. sounds like they say F... you
I like these Sa'jiir. They’re a cool bunch to hang out with.
I'm sure there's plenty that like to play up the species stereotypes just to mess with people too
considering how Sa'jiir are usually getting treated by the humans, as in second class citizens as we've seen in the past, I can't blame this guy for his attitude...
though i do enjoy the Conan reference :D

that lizard would make an amazing friend for a philosopher like diogenes
A misanthrope who lived in an urn, pissed on people who annoyed him and shat in the theatre? Yes, I see them getting along swimmingly. At least until the lizard clubs him to death.
i thinl they would react in a similar fashon after hearing plato's opinion on what is a man
What did Diogenes do to Socrates? I'm not sure Sam O'nella covered that incident.
Of course plucking a bird clean makes it a human! It's obvious!
Read the comment above mine...!😈 Well, technically, it was my dog at that time who ACTUALLY took a leak on their shoes, but the point stands. He was an elderly Bassett/Beagle mix with weak kidneys, and they were standing between him and his yard, what did they expect?! (Another time, I scared the crap out of a pair Mormon missionaries by pretending to mistake them for male strippers!🤣)
Peace isn't an option for some cultures - that's why you keep killing off the aggressive ones until the more level-headed ones are left...or you wipe out that culture entirely.
It's all fun and games till you hear the humans saying 'In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, atonement' before they attack XD
what if the lizard is mocking the human? he seems to grin like a madlizard. :)
Such is the way of the open-minded, or as I call them the "empty headed". XD
The point is that peace isn't always an option, if you don't understand.

Joachim is still on the right track, it's now up to him and others to use their knowledge of other cultures in order to provide an enticing alternative to constant warring that doesn't put their culture at a disadvantage of others. Best of luck to him, he has his work cut for him.
Well at least he tries. Might have an easier time with doggos lol.
Also appreciate the Ghengis Khan quote.

The serpentine cannon will bring about great compromise with these Sa'jiir devils, undoubtedly.
Well, as long as they don't think about going around them ...

I'm suddenly reminded of a moment from "Hercules and the Circle of Fire"
"Oh, no. This is one of those things that responds better to fists."
Though sadly true. No group is entirely good, or bad. But some times the bad ones are much more visible while the good ones, because they're good, tend to be missed.

Well, barbarism is a philosophy, in a sense... Oddly persistent in contemporary world, even.
As a cat.. “define lesser species” fancy purse more like it. Still excellent work and I love the details on his scales and armor!
Unfortunately these kinds of people exist. No matter what race, species, or culture.
That's what it sounds like with an Austrian accent!
I'm a little surprised the reptile has that much armour - I'd've guessed his scales would have helped ease that burden.
If only asshats would hurt other asshats. Strangely when you get different kinds of asshats together they seem to inexplicably cooperate with each other... in order to hurt more regular people.
There bound to be a few cultures that simply are unhealthy to engage with.
Phenomenal armor and equipment detail. Interesting design of the samurai armor design.
