The goddess awoke in darkness. There was no one around. This was not foretold of her followers. Perhaps they had passed on to the afterlife. The goddess could not tell but sustaining herself on their countless number of souls for centuries had left her physical body so weakened. So weak that she couldn't even see far beyond her hands.
The goddess shifted around to feel her body was being restrained?! The crocodile rocked side to side, trying to break these bonds on her body. A sound of ripping came first from her arms then her legs. The goddess reached up to her face, ripping the soft cloth off of her face. These must have been worshipers of Khonshu! Did they capture her as she was awakening back into this realm? Unacceptable! This realm will perish for their attempts to stop her. The goddess reached forward, pushing open the casket holding her down.
Light flooded down into the coffin as the goddess emerged. It shattered into hundreds of pieces. It was filled with many holding containers and rows upon rows of small buildings all around. Ammit stepped onto a cold hard floor, feeling the cold sensation. It was unlike her home at all. Ammit looked up to the glass windows far above. She would need to make her way through the likely guarded holding cell. Did they not have proper carriers to hold her down? Pathetic!
Ammit traversed out through the open doorway and beyond. This place was weird. The flames were enclosed in some strange bulb and hoisted onto the walls. Ammit found it odd to see no guards around rushing to attack her nor warn Khonshu that she had awakened. Nonetheless, the crocodile goddess sauntered through the open halls. She stopped when seeing someone in very odd clothing. They wore an enclosed skirt that wrapped down to their ankles and an odd garment around their neck. To top it all off, they were a very odd crown on their head. They were facing away from her, not even noticing her presence.
Ammit stayed low, slowly making her way across the floor to the guard. They did not seem to have a weapon, but Ammit kept silent. Then she pounded. The crocodile crushed the guard to the ground, instantly smashing their head into the ground. It shattered into hundreds of millions of pieces without a drop of blood as the body tumbled. Ammit disappointingly looked at the ruins of the statue. Was this a distraction by the worshipers to get her attention on a fake guard?
Ammit's suspicions would come in the form of a guard coming her way. The crocodile bared her teeth and lowered herself to the ground. This new guard was somewhat like the statue she just destroyed. It seemed this one was better prepared for combat with its limbs moving. The crocodile's eyes would go blind from a sudden fire in their hands, needing to look away to shield themselves away.
"Oh, what the fuck, lady?" Ammit bared her groans at this guard for talking to her in such an odd language, "I swear to God, New York is such shit a hole." Ammit tried to cover her eyes from the flame more, trying to get a look at this guard. They did not have any threatening weapons besides the very unusual candle in their hands. He spoke of his god and swore upon her? What kind of worshiper was Khonshu taking? Ammit didn't speak yet, listening out to see if there were any behind her.
"Hey lady! You're trespassing a- Teddy Roosevelt! You broke Teddy Roosevelt!" Ammit looked down at the statue that she had broken. Ah so it was a Teddy Roosevelt, these strange things. "Khonshu has been taking in some odd worshipers. And to say his name so lightly, do you not respect your God?" Ammit felt the need to question this guard's ambitions. The guard's face was obscured by the candle hiding his face away. He reached for something, speaking into it. "Hey listen, we have this lady going mental in a fursuit and she broke a statue. Can you call the cops?"
Cops? Mental? Fursuit? Statue? How was this guard talking to someone? Perhaps someone behind? No matter. Ammit had planned to take them out now. Ammit dashed towards the light. The guard squealed and dropped the candle to reveal the face of human. The furless creatures were the ones to take her captive? Ammit didn't let the human reach down into their odd storage wrapped around their waist and quickly smashed her palm into the human's face. My so... Weak.
The guard would go flying back, hitting one of the gateways and break through. Ammit watched the little human fly back even further, stopping at little ways off. Ammit hurried towards the guard. She did not wanna let this one escape from her. No. There was another, purpose, greater purpose for this guard. The crocodile picked up the human before her and opened her maw. The human's face turned into one of pain.
Ammit could see it. He was a sinner for his heart was heavier than the feather. The guard would begin to go limp. The goddess's hold on to the human got less and easier. The human would begin to shrink away in her hand, losing strength to fight against the goddess. And for Ammit, she would grow in size. Her body would begin to loom over this pathetic sinner. Ammit dropped the husk onto the floor, licking her lips after such a savory snack. She walked towards the large doors and pushed them aside.
Ammit shivered and hunched over as she stood on the marble steps of this palace. All around, there were large pyramids, straight and with odd structures on the outside. It definitely wasn't home. She glanced to the stars, but there were none? There were so many candles around that it was obscuring her view of the stars. Was this some new scheme by Khoshu to stop her from escaping?
But that was not the reason for Ammit's hunch and shiver. Deep inside of her, the scales of everything around her was affecting her ability to think clearly. The sinners had completely taken over these lands. Is this what Khonshu had wanted? Sinners everywhere, ruining everything?! She knew what must be done. This world needed to be purged before these sinners ruined it.
Ammit stood tall and back, opening her mouth wide. Specks of white would fly all around town towards the very place she stood. Ammit let the white specks fly into her mouth. Her body would expand once more. Her scales gleamed as she passed the candles with no light. Ammit passed one of the statues in no time. Endless souls kept her growing until Ammit smashed into the over head of the roof above. She didn't care.
Ammit was growing bigger and bigger still, soon over their silly little pryamids. She saw some odd sinner paintings with strange words on them. Not that it mattered. Ammit was still growing bigger and bigger. Ammit's feet crashed into the small pyramids, bull dozing them and leaving them as trash to be moved by her worshippers later. Ammit felt herself finally slowing down.
She couldn't imagine how big she was, but taller than her prison and any other encampment for miles. She could crush an entire one, no, 10 of those things under her feet. Ammit took a step forward, feeling it all crumble under her feet. She laughed at the pathetic sight of these sinner's cities. Ammit began walking forward, searching for her worshippers and taking any more sinners' souls. She would be the one to rid this world of its disease.
