Mildred Kriden, more commonly known as Koyad, was a human until a series of experiments conducted on her in research facility located in great crater. With leftover DNA of one of species created in those labs, she became a mutant herself.
She's humanized version of nightstalker - creature that's part coyote, part rattlesnake. She has abilities of the former (such as enhanced senses of smell and hearing), as well as the latter (like fangs that can inject powerful venom upon biting) plus other properties, which most notable is turning herself invisible for certain amount of time.
After her escape with feral comrades from her species, she was wandering the desert until she found a hut with old man who almost shot her. After a stalemate, they talked to each other. This was enough to convince him to house her. She was taught things that would be helpful with survival. With each lesson and conversation, they eventually considered themselves friends. After learning all from the hut owner, she left to wander the desert alone. From his name - Conrad Yanovich - she made her nickname that was Koyad.
Because of her contact with her friend, as well as couple of other wanderers, Koyad's personality was taking solid shape. She preferred to stick with herself, but when in contact with other sentient creature, she's more confident, while still not being arrogant. Nightstalker's lone journeys allowed her to get close with nature (or at least some aspects of it that could be seen in such harsh environment) and became fascinated with biology-related topics, especially flora and fauna in terms of appearance, behavior and properties. This prompted her to save what she saw in form of drawing and after a lot of practice, she became quite good at it.
As a nimble nightstalker, she sticks with night times for her activities (but operates in day times on certain occasions). This doesn't mean that she abandoned socializing altogether. She shows her more dominating side at first, but deep within, she still feels like a victim and want some compassion because of that. This dominance is showed in most, if not all of her activities - more public ones, as well as those that are more private. Nonetheless, she isn't a type of a person that attacks first - she'll do so only if she gets provoked. She can be hard to talk to, but will become a great companion, if treated properly.
Koyad is expert survivalist, decent fighter and quite intelligent woman that can hold on her own just fine and be a threat, if provoked.
A brief backstory that I came up with for this character. Would be longer, but I had to focus on my broken laptop. So perhaps I'll updated it in the future.
I've planned many furry OCs, but most of them are male. I wanted to create a female character, but with some visualization as well. And since I like to play with various species, I wanted something more unusual.
Hope you'll like her :)

A lovely lady, and Panda did a fantastic job bringing her to life, so to speak.
The mismatched eyes are an interesting touch as well.

Wanted to stick with at least some details from original creature. One step above heterochromia, which on its own is already something interesting and I like it.
Reasonable! I imagine it might be a little disorienting to actually have given the differences in pupil shape, but it's still a neat look and hints at her origins as an experiment/test subject.
Yup, I said something similar when I saw her completed for the first time.
