A rich merchant or noble from the Empire of Elaris together with his trusted guard dog.
Be careful, he bites... and also swings weapons around! :P
It's not at all uncommon for rich humans to employ warriors from the taller species, namely the "doggos" and lizardfolk, as bodyguards. Most humans or catfolk would find them extremely intimidating even if they just stood there doing nothing, so they can be a really good investment. Luckily this guard is much more professional around humans than Lof! :P

This battle doggo is so badass looking! Love his armor! Also he is ENORMOUS! This guy probably has no fears when he has his doggo around! But facing against the doggos on battlefield ...now that would be scary!
Merchant: What did you find a threat?
Dog: Nope, just bacon
Merchant: [sigh] I don't. You are lucky you can fight
Dog: You are lucky you pay well. Begger! Fetch me a plate of bacon! I will spare you coin!

Looks to be quite a colorful getup too, if this would be in color.
Now that is a huuuuuge body guard! Merc can hide completely behind them!
He feels as intimidating as a Papal Swiss Guard or a Potsdam Giant!
I wonder what Lof would look like as a guard? Probably would be a bit too friendly with everyone and the only reason he would keep the job would be because of how strong he is, and that he would be good at stopping intruders. Probably would be the sort of thing that you would see in a fantasy comedy
i know i wouldn't be intimidated. i'd be trying to flirt with the guard doggo.
This guy and Lof together would give me big Pixie and Brutus energy haha.
They're lovely, to be fair!
They're lovely, to be fair!
So is he thinking the same things as Lof but just doesn't vocalise his thoughts?
................................................................................................................................ more please *slips you a fiver* preety pelase
Now I'm picturing Lof trying to be a bodyguard, but just being too much of an absolute bean to be intimidating XD
huh, I guess a certain coyote would be seen as intimidating.
"Luckily this guard is much more professional around humans than Lof! :P"
Is he just as into them, but more professional, or just a professional? Haha

Gun and dagger and poleaxe and not a sword to be seen on him because swords are overrated!
His bark is worse than his bite.
And his bite isn't what you should worry about. >.>

These are the kind(s) of Human + Anthro worlds/universes I like the most! (Not always their POLITICS, but still!)
Oh, he's good to cover your six, but you wouldn't want him to balance the Exchequer...
Maned Wolves look like you took a dog and put them in a taffy puller.
Lof would be saying "Hi!" to everyone and smiling like a derp. ;) This guy's obviously battle-tested, by the scars on his muzzle and ear. Interesting pike/spear he's holding. With his height, it could definitely keep people at bay. FUN! :)
Well, that's quite the threatening guard. I'll admit that the idea of lizardfolk being bodyguard would remind me of the trandoshan companion of the jedi consulor in SWTOR, sadly there was no romance option in the game, you could only seduce lame and boring humans and not the funnier lizard guy
Bet Lof would be very effective protecting his new woodcutter "friend"
Now I can imagine Lof trying to do this job because some pals told them it was easy and paid good, but being fired after his first day because he is too... Lof.
Now I have this funny side story in Lof's life of him meeting another Maned Wolf like him who is one of these guardsmen, and its a funny, yet serious, quiet love affair between the guardsmen and his charge. Lof is the big himbo who is all gushy about it, and it drives the guardsman who's trying to keep it on the super down-low crazy. The noble on the other hand is so high status they can do what they want and it just becomes "fashionable" (or at least they believe so), and actively encourages Lof. Noble gives Lof advise, which Lof misinterprets 50% of the time but in adorable ways.
