She could go after him -- and probably wear him down after a chase -- but she can't leave the princess unguarded. Unless she catches a break, he got away.

Rossweisse is not looking pleased and neither is the assassin. Rossweisse is probably wondering how long he can keep this up, which is probably exactly how the assassin is thinking like right now.

I get the feeling that he isn't exactly home free. After all, he did not kill his target, and the palace is now on the alert for an assassin. Someone is not going to be pleased about all this.

ditched the gloves, needed the traction to pull that swing off too much. keep the bow, too easy to track back to him if it's not locally made, and it probably wasn't. not bad thinking there. still, he swung back into the palace grounds from the looks of things and that perfume will be a dead giveaway.

nice horizon shot there. adds a great deal to the atmosphere without wasting a lot of effort on details you wouldn't make out that time of night anyways.

Now what will happen in the aftermath!
