I'm Alive! Welcome Back, Baby!
So......................... It's been a minute. :-P I never thought I would be away for so long. Things got so busy after Japan, then covid hit. It's been a weird year and a half. :-/
I do still plan on making series of videos about my Japan trip, but I'm waiting on my new suit (Alyss was lost in the mail to USPS last March. Haven't seen her since). In the mean time, I'm still doing unboxing videos via YouTube. Many are KickStarter-based, or Fursona Pins-based, but there are a few commissions and con stuff thrown in. When some of the games I backed get completed (I've backed about 10 so far), I will probably do Let's Play/Unboxing vids for those. Until then, please check out my channel!
As far as life goes, a little has change. I've gained about 35 lbs since Japan, so that happened. I do walk twice a day, use an exercise app, and have gotten back on Weight Watchers, so I'm hoping I can lose a bit. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss the gym. O_o
In mid-March of 2020, my employer sent us home, due to covid and we have been home ever since. Personally, working from home has been GREAT! I love rolling out of bed and into my office. BOOM! I'm at work. I also started working with my appraisal mentor last year and I have a sizeable about of hours towards my license. :-D In the Fall, I gained an appraisal boss and in January, we gained a section head. Things have really picked up since then. The next few years in transportation will be nuts!
Socially, things have slowed down a bit, but not too much. My parents aren't too far, so I do visit them. My anime and MST3K groups meet online via Discord now, so we have bee able to catch up pretty regularly. We have gotten some interesting people in our groups, but we still have a lot of fun. I've also found some good anime to watch. I also went on a horror binge in the beginning of covid and really need to do it again. Since I have Amazon Prime, I checked out their stuff. There is some really good stuff on there, including international entries. The wailing, The Quiet Family, The Tag-a-Long (1 & 2), Gonjiam: Huanted Asylum, and The Piper were some of my favs. Plenty of good, meh, and crappy American stuff, too.
In addition to my normal stuff, I have a couple new developments:
I have a new fursona/character (not sure which yet). Since learning about the drekkubus species 3 years ago, I've always wanted one. A few months ago, I found an artist and Wisteria was brought to life. Her name comes from the Japanese Wisteria flower, which dispelled demons in the anime Demon Slayer. I loved the flower and I've always loved nature and being an herbalist/potion maker, so I decided to base my drekkubus on that premise. She will be featured on my page within the next couple weeks.
One day, I was DM'd via Reddit and was asked of I wanted to be a voice actor for an upcoming visual novel project. I was suspicious, but when I attended the first meeting (via Discord), I recognized one of the artists: https://www.deviantart.com/viwrastupr . The visual novel is based on the Yin X Yang: Corgi Knight https://www.amazon.com/Yin-Yang-Cor.....252&sr=8-1 The world is inhabited by anthropomorphic animals and the story is about a young corgi and his wish to be a knight in the kingdom of Dogonna. He recruits others to his cause and, under the leadership of the wolf leader of the kingdom, they embark on a long, adventurous journey. I will be playing Lady Mary Sus, the leader of the boar clan: https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/s.....CLkgJqmkZlLPAw In this project, I have met some wonderful people and I'm really excited to be on the project! Please check out the book. The story is great and the characters have a lot of depth. I also created a plushie of their sphinx-taur character Sophia. I will definitely post that soon.
Lastly, I have FINALLY become a DnD player! A friend or mine mentioned a podcast called DnDnD and I loved it! For those of you who are fans of the Dead Meat channel on YouTube, James and Chelsey are part of it. With 3 other players, and a fantastic DM, they really get you invested in the story and their characters. While listening to their podcast, I started creating my own characters in my head. A month ago, a friend invited me to join her newly-formed group and I accepted! In-game, I'm a leonin druid named Nia. She has quite an African influence and I love her already. I'm working closely with **Jessie Park to get her design down right now. We have only had 2 sessions so far, but I can't wait to see where this adventure takes us!
Wooooooo! That was quite a content dump. Sorry for the length. I do plan to do journal entries more often in the future, but it won't be an every week thing. I will also update my gallery over the next couple weeks. There is a LOT of art I need to add, though most are requests, or commissions. I will add Sophia Sphinx and Akina when I finish her hair. I am going to try not to let this lapse again. I link people to her from YouTube, but nothing changes. I want to fix that. :-/ I'm also sewing more regularly, so hopefully, I will have more projects to show. I've bought a LOT of patterns from Choly Knight over the past year and a half and I intend to utilize most of them!
Thank you for reading this far. I appreciate your support. Until next time! :-D
