I am honestly a lot more hornier than I appear. I mean, my favorites do say a lot about me, I think...

Archie left her seat, much to Artemis’s lack of care. If anything, the cat seems to have no real interest in what was happening around him, aside from that phone. Noting that, Archie sighed a bit due to his guardian’s behavior, but regardless, move to sit next to the young man. Specifically, deciding that it would be too uncomfortable to sit by his side, Archie took a spot right in front of the monkey.
The young man kept eyeing to what was behind the window, searching for everything, which pushed Archie to try to see what was so interesting that he saw. To start the conversation, Archie chose the most straightforward and perhaps his most effective way throughout these years of his.
“Hey there.” There was an added tinge jolliness specifically to catch the monkey attention.
“Hello.” He answered back, without looking at him. Something was off.
“So, you going somewhere?” Archie tried his best to look, but it seems that the monkey man would not even budge a muscle.
“To a friend’s house.”
There was a lie in his sentence. Despite that, Archie was more interested in why the monkey would not even try to look at him. Was there a sense of discomfort? Shame? Disinterest? Nope, can’t be last one. Suddenly, the young man moved his hand, raised his cap and scratched right into the fluff of fur surrounding his head. He left the cap back on, with the least amount of movement possible. Definitely not the last one.
Archie started to think to herself, what other topic she could go for, and then continued,
“So, you are a fan of uh, “Oblivion”, huh?”
The monkey turned to face her, and what she as met was can be considered the most unadulterated sense of disbelief she has seen. He stared right at her. Not just her face. Right at her. His body was acting as if he went unconscious and was trying to return himself to life with his own will of the mind.
This made Archie uncomfortable. Immediately, she started to think of how else to make this conversation work, so she decided to try a joke. Perhaps one she has seen online.
“You know, I once knew a great warrior, and we would go to the bar together, but then…”she took a quick pause, “…I took an arrow to the knee!”
The disbelief on his face quickly changed to that of confusion. Archie waited a bit to see if it settled in, but it seems that it only furthered the awkwardness of their conversation.
Something’s off, she thought, I never had that much problem talking with people! What is going on!
The bus took a stop, and announced the name of the place. The monkey man’s head perked up and he got of his seat quickly. He moved at a brick speed and was already few feet away by then from the doors. Whilst doing so, Archie noticed him only looking back once.
“Interesting, isn’t he?” Artemis chimed in out of nowhere. That barely got a reaction from Archie, aside from the usual nod. “Follow him.”
He then simply disappeared from the bus. Archie was used to that, but this time it felt a bit more annoying. She wanted answers.
Well, looks like the only way to ask for them is to go to the source itself.
