Commissioned by home , thank you very much!
Their tiefling character channeling their inner cat by perching on high places. This was a tricky painting, wanted to get a specific perspective effect done and didn't quite make it 100%, but it still works. That's the important bit!

Incomparable! How much time have you spent on this wonderful work?
Ah, the way i work makes it a bit of a hassle to track exact hours for projects, so i just don't and can't really say.
That background is stunning - top-down city views are not for the faint of heart, that's for sure - marvellous job!
It partly is. Pretty much all my paintings use matte painting elements to varying degrees.
The only perspective fix you would need to do is to line the shingles on the gable he's leaning against and center pole of its roof with the horizon, and that's it. Otherwise love the village in the background. Looks like Hungary?
Thank you very much, and since tieflings are house in DnD land it'll be the 3rd fantasy city from the left!
Absolutely gorgeous work! And that background is remarkable. The whole illustration works so well
Thanks, yeah i don't get the chance often given the whole furry thing, but they're pretty fun to do!
you can tell just by the amount of favs that you achieved your desired effects... very very nice, and a good feel for an ancient city...

Oh man, I wouldn't even know where to start in approaching that perspective but you executed it quite beautifully! Love the lighting and textures, particularly in the buildings and roofs. Your use of values guides the eye from the character to the beach to the center too. Excellent work!
Was the arrangement of the buildings decided by yourself or is this based off of an actual town? Regardless, it is clear a lot of work went into this piece. Nice job!
It's got large parts that are more matte painting focussed, so it's a mix of both the pictures used and adjustments by myself to fit the references provided for the commission a bit more.
your scenes seriously *never* fail to take my breath away. I'm so amazed with all of the detail
My imagination runs wild just looking at this. Nothing but stunning. I honestly wish I could experience this world.
Whoa o.o
How long did this take? Did you employ some matte painting (ie photo bits) or is it all brushwork?

The way i work makes it kinda annoying to track time, so i don't really do it. But yes, matte painting was involved, as in most of my paintings really.
Ah, I feel you on that. I rarely keep track of time myself. The result is spectacular in any case.
Holy... Woo, this is amazing. I LOVE the amount of detail there is in the painting/art. Getting a Venice, Italy maybe mixing with a victorian era vibe. :3 Keep up the awesome work and stay safe out there.
Absolutely love this sort of vibe. Simply stunning piece!
Hopefully he doesn't just steal it from me in some action movie raid :D
amazing work nomax! do you use 3d for help with perspective? i love how you did the town!
In this case i didn't use 3D, but in some other paintings i do. Just a case of where i feel it helps me.
Woah!
I love the composition and the color palette you used here!

Clever until they drop the dagger, then they'll look really silly!
Wow... This is AMAZING work! You put so much thought and detail into this, and it shows!
