⦁ Biography: Puakai is one of the many 1/2 Mermaids born to Junichirio & Palutena, being born a day before Wilfreda was born, making her part of the 3rd line of 1/2 mermaids born into the family. Puakai is one of the few in the family to surpass her mother in terms of bust size, third only to her sister Malila. Puakai possesses a K-Cup bust, yet her breasts are 1 inch bigger than Palutena's. Puakai grew up with the dream of being a hero like her father is, yet Puakai had little idea on how she wanted to achieve this. While Puakai worked as a shrine maiden, she one day noticed her older sister Malila standing proud as a Paladin. Puakai at that point decided that she wanted to be one herself, and when it was noticed by Malila, she was more than happy to take her little sister on as her personal apprentice. As her father had done with Malila, Malila trained Puakai in how to harness the power of the holy light, and even how to fight with the appropriate weapons. But while Puakai got the hang of one-handed swords, spears, even bows, not to mention the typical Paladin's hammer, Puakai didn't possess the strength to swing a claymore. She was able to handle a longsword just fine, but claymores proved too much for Puakai to handle. Even so, Puakai proved to be a good study & continued to train under Malila's watchful eye, before their father came to appraise how good Puakai had gotten in fighting & using the light. After a series of tests, Puakai was shown to have passed with flying colors, so permitting her to be able to defend Olympus, and even the realm of Hyrule as a Paladin, but while maintaining her miko duties as well, essentially making her a Miko Paladin one might say. Whether at home or in Hyrule, Puakai stands ready to take on evil when needed. As one might expect from those in Juni's family, Puakai is a very friendly & affectionate girl with a playful side to her. However, she is known to be shy & can have trouble talking to people she isn't familiar with. She also has a stutter that shows itself when she gets nervous. She shares her father & Malila's deep fondness for clay & will happily sink in it when the chance arises. She also loves to collect ballgowns to wear for different occasions. Despite her pure-hearted nature, she can be touchy when it comes to perverts. She cannot stand them. Puakai also shares Zinnia's powerful distaste for pedophiles, but unlike Zinnia, Puakai simply captures them to purify. Zinnia however, has no such patience & is not above killing such people if it comes down to it, but only as a last resort. Also, Puakai doesn't view herself ready to wield her own version of the Master Sword yet. Puts on the best shrine maiden performances.
⦁ Abilities: Puakai, being 1/2 mermaid, is able to take on her mermaid form at any point she enters the water. However, like her siblings, she prefers the water to be either fresh, or seawater, and is quite insistent on the waters being cleaned before she transforms. As a result, she is able to travel deeper waters that only a Mermaid Suit would allow. But until others obtain such an item, she will be forced to stay above the seafloor. Like her other sisters who're octomaids, Puakai's octopus tentacles have a strong grip, and once she has a hold, she won't let go for a while. The fact that she uses the suckers on the underside of her tentacles doesn't help either. Puakai proves to be a strong Paladin, but she is 2nd to Malila in terms of strength, defense, magic, and speed. She's skilled with swords & lances, along with hammers, but she also has good skill with a bow as well. However, while Puakai is capable of swinging longswords with ease, she cannot the weight of claymores due to them being even heavier than longswords. She is also profound with light magic using it not only to harm her foes, but also to heal her allies if injured. Puakai's healing ability is as good as Malila's, but Malila still has the better technique to heal others. Even revive them. She begins with the following gear & magics.
⦁ Paladin Plates: Puakai's armor for her travels. These plates were made by her father and they were designed to be as sturdy as possible. There's chainmail underneath for extra protection.
⦁ Ofuda: Puakai's trademark talismans. These are used on enemies to target them for certain magic attacks and can purify those under curses. In fact, they can even protect against them, too. Puakai carries a large assortment of these.
⦁ Basket-Hilted Sword: A one-handed sword Puakai picked up from her father's armory. The guarded grip provides protection so it won't be knocked out of Puakai's hand that easily. It's so well made that it's practically flawless.
⦁ Gilded Glaive: This spear was reforged using gold dust and boasts good power. It can hit enemies that her sword can't reach. However, Puakai cannot perform certain skills with it due to its length.
⦁ Hammer of Farore: Puakai's trusty paladin hammer blessed by Farore. This two-handed weapon isn't particularly heavy, but it still packs quite a wallop. It can bring life to withered plants & trees, and when held, Puakai won't be pushed around by the wind.
⦁ Knight's Broadsword: Knights of Hyrule once carried this sword. These days it's the weapon of choice for seasoned adventurers thanks to its ease of use and high attack power. This one is always receiving extra care, so it will never break.
⦁ Knight's Halberd: A spear used by knights adept in mounted combat. The spearhead is modeled after an axe. It's good for stronger overhead slashes in addition to stabbing. This one is always receiving extra care, so it will never break.
⦁ Knight's Bow: The sturdy metal construction of this bow offers superior durability, while its lack of firing quirks makes it quite reliable. Once favored by the knights at Hyrule Castle. This one has a quiver that holds 75 arrows, and it's enhanced to be so sturdy that it won't break after repeated usage.
⦁ Knight's Shield: A shield favored by the knights who served the Hyrulean royal family. Its sturdy metal construction makes it quite durable, but its weight requires decent skill to wield. This one is so durable, there's no way it will break.
⦁ Holy Magic: As is the norm of all paladins, Puakai has access to the power of holy magic, and she knows how to use it. She primarily uses it against undead foes, and even demons. However, she knows fewer spells than Malila does, tying with Zinnia so to speak. Some of Puakai's holy spells include Holy Beam, Radiant Shock, and Light Wall to name a few.
⦁ Healing Magic: Puakai's bread 'n butter. She's a proficient healer, able to heal the wounds of her allies no matter how deep they may be. However, she has yet to learn how to revive those who've fallen.
